Soooooooo think its time Monica Received some loving too. Quite a few changes.

First onto the brakes and service. She hit a whopping 160 000km and needed another service, I have to say within the time I have owner her, the only issues I have had was waterpump replacement and one coilpack. The rest was minor replacements and normal wear and tear items.

Brake pads I went for Metelli, as Ive had good experience with them specially with my driving style.

I made sure I got the most out of these brake pads :roflol:

Also decided sand down the calipers this time to bare metal and redo them as the yellow paint underneath started to cause some issues.

In this pic you can also see one of the new mods. Imported some wheel studs and racing lugs. Now I wish I went for a set of gloss black or Red ones, rather than the Neo Chrome.

Next up I Imported a set of Vanos units, as the one was occasionally acting up. Also decided it was about time that I fitted the oil catch can that I purchased ages ago. You will see a BMS oil cooler sport valve in the pic, but it did not fit my car, its the wrong one, it is for 2007 and up.

Oil catch can fitted to the left of the bay.

Imported a short shifter that I was not sure it would work on a E92, but after some carefull research it does fit. Oh my fark, what a difference, the wife refuses to drive the car now as she says the shifts are way to short. Absolutely love it.

The install instructions say it takes 45mins and you can do all the work from the top, bullfuckenshit. Took quite a few hours.

What a piece of ART.

Old vs the new.

Fitted, now searching for a decent weighted aluminium shift knob.

My Sticker go to guy designed some new Vinyls for Monica, as the white was messing with my OCD, now its all uniform and looks decent.

I am not a fan of stickers at all, but I am quite liking the look of them.

great work Shaun

Thanks Sir.

Quite some time ago I painted the window trim with Rustoleum Epoxy and one morning at the carwash the water jocky managed to spray a big chunk of paint off the trimming, fark knows how because nothing removes this paint, not even the touchest paint stripper. SO it was time to remove all the trimmings again, prep them and paint them.

Together with this I decided to give the mirrors a new color and paint my trunk spoiler that was in storage for ages. Color decided on them was metallic black.

My Paint of choice for everything now. I am soon to be an official Holtz agent too.

All my paint gets heated to a certain temperature for smoother application.

Herewith various stages of paint etc, not in necessary order.

Mirrors before, even with the trimmings being black gloss previously, I never did the mirror housings, this time I did.

Housings and covers all sanded down.

Gosh...:bravo::bravo:
How did you get the chrome off? I painted my grills that were chrome, but struggled to get the chrome off the surround, no matter for rough sandpaper i used. I also used a plastic primer, but it seems to chip with every thing that hits the grill?

Very professional job

Didnt think of opening a Panel/Spray shop?

Honestly, there are so many around, what would I do that others can not do?

I am however doing smaller custom mods from home after hours including detailing etc

Nah no way of the getting the chrome off completely, Unfortunately Will just need to keep painting them. Only real option is to powdercoat them.

Great work as always shaun. really looks top notch.
How are those new tail lights looking on the car?

That was my next update lol

Tail lights were sitting in storage for quite some time before I fitted it. I need to have them programmed, as I am getting bulb out warnings and the indicators flicker faster, which is hella irritating.

Onto these beauty of tail lights.

Old lights were removed and the crevices received a good cleaning and polish to seal it.

img_7612_5564086893.jpg

And for the final results, first the old scruffmuff tinted lights, here if you look closely you can see the spider cracks that developed, looked horrible.

New lights :blowheart:

Yea that would be ideal or a straight up piano gloss black.
