Update time!
So the X3 has some loving recently from @Clint@MMS AUTO. The car went in for a major service and its first out of motorplan.
Now the reason I wanted this is because when I changed out the air filter, it was dated 2022. That was enough for me to already doubt the condition of other service items.
So I sent the car in to Clint and asked for the ffg:
1. Oil change with Engine flush
2. Oil filter
3. Fuel filter
4. Cabin filter
5. Air filter clean ( since the car has a BMC drop in)
Well what came out was a bit scary, oil that had sludge lumps!! Fuel filter - dated 2022 as well (mind you, the car went for more than one oil change and service in that period.
However, there goes me respecting motorplan maintenance.
So Clint got to it and gave the car a full Motul treatment, and when I fetched the car… it already felt much happier and healthier. Now I felt more confident to get the software file updated knowing the car was in good health and Clint gave me the thumbs up from the health perspective.
Ran it a few days and then gave Juvan a call to get the next step of the process done.
Got there today, spent under 2 hours and did the Stage 2 file…put the car on the dyno and to say I was impressed is an understatement.
I know Xcede also has a stingy dyno as well so to get these numbers was enough for me, the car has more room to extract more power but I am happy with it for now. Maybe later, we can check again but for now I am very happy with the little 4 pot diesel.
Then decided while at it and at the torque it’s pushing now and after taking it for a drive …to get Master Juvan to load xHP as well.
So the exciting part:
Stock figures: 124wkw/381wnm
Stage 1(no hardware): 150wkw/418wnm
Stage 2 with DP, BMC (no xHP): 161wkw/504wnm
This has been pretty surprising, I have always seen figures for Stage 2 on other tuners websites of having maximum torque of 440nm and 148kw…many websites. To extract this power while having the car still drive so smooth and be absolutely fuel efficient is perfection.
Another experience for the books from Xcede, a little 4 pot diesel with very decent power.
