Lol.

My next two or three weeks is going to be crazy hectic.

Along with the car coming, we are waiting for the birth of my son.

I get the sneaky suspicion he is coming in the next two weeks or so.

A braai will unfortunately have to wait.

Congrats bro

Thanks ST

I must be honest when I say that I am more excited about the birth of my son than the arrival of my car.

My son is 3 years old now, he is nearly more car crazy then me, ask cois them how mad he went at the skidpan, he was totally excited about all the BMW's

Sometimes feel bad that I take him to these things and not my two girls, but they dont get car stuff, so I watch cheerleader moves with them.

Boys are like minime's to us dad's

My daughter is 2,5 years old. I sit and watch Barney/ Teletubbies and waybuloo with her.

Having said that, she loves to drive around in the 540 and hates traffic.

Can't wait to buy my son a bmw peddle car.

Met with Classicman last night and I now have the original registration document for the car with me.

He also borrowed me a very informative book on the 2002 which I will study and use during the restoration.

WOW! Nice and easy paced resto you have planned! Very inspiring!

Great to see that the car has everything intact and hardly any rust. A great project. I remember some guy in the states restored a red one and set up an awesome site, showing every detail of his restoration. I hope to find that site and post the link.

There was one in the family a few months ago - needed plenty of work - but was sold not long ago! BTW, it was still running and registered! :argh:

When you get started, you'd probably go on and go and have it finished long before the target time! Good Luck!

Yes, that is the site! I stumbled across it a few years ago and still remember being amazed at how the owner found a 2002 stored away in a warehouse or something - the car being a gift to someone in the '70s! The condition it was found in was great to start off with, yet the car was FULLY restored! :praise:

She is here:

Car came on a massive car carrier which could not get into my complex.

So they dropped the car off in the road outside the complex.

Only problem, the back wheel was flat, completely off the rim. Plus with the engine etc in the boot and all the accessories in the boot and cabin, the ass was scraping on the ground.

Took us two hours to move the car 200m. My body is SORE. nearly tore my freaking calf muscles.

Anyway, the car.

Suffice to say a complete restoration is on the cards.

Coming off the carrier:
