No Stress. Just mentioned it in case a seller was trying their luck with you :)

Double clutch transmissions are not as ubiquitous in the BMW stable as they are in the VAG stable.

The ZF 8HP is a real peach. Enjoy the car, bro.
Thanks spanky, will do some research on this box. I love learning about every aspect of the cars I own so Thanks for the heads up.

I have edited your title for you. LCi = Facelift (Life Cycle Impulse)

Try to clean your steering yourself with a good cleaner, it doesn't look bad at all from the picture. If you want it professionally cleaned, Detail Xcellence in Durban has my vote - epic work from Ricardo.

Congrats on a lovely vehicle, especially this spec. Wishing you many miles of smiles.
Thanks for that.im using tapatalk and its sometimes pretty hard to get around on this app. Thanks I will give it a good clean myself and if all else fails I will pay Riccardo a visit.

Any suggestion on a product a could use?just a leather cream?
Ah dude, we all learnt somewhere and somehow and thats why we all here. No worries bro, enjoy that envious, low consumption!!! ha haha
Yeah I know my vags backwards, this is a whole new learning curve. I was not expecting it be in the 4's to be honest. Will see what the consumption is like in city driving. My days of robot to robot racing are done though.
So you like it thick and chunky....
Lol I also like it thick and chunky clearly

If it was me, I'd get the steering wheel re-upholstered now before fitting. The leather on the OEM one will just get shinier and shinier as you go. I still wana get mine done...will do a mix of nappa and perforated leather.

Yeah I have ordered some goodies from crazy Detailer, some leather cleaner and balm. Will try get that matte look again. If not I will look at upholstery option. Have you got any idea on pricing as yet?

About R2k for a re-upholster. You've probably spent about R500 now on cleaner and balm.

Yip I think about 350 rand. I will be cleaning and treating all the seats too. Hmm 2k is not bad at all. If I don't get the result I want I will look into a full re-upholstery job.

I know every cent counts...just from experience once they start going shiny its difficult to get it back long term - so if one has the R2k or can save up for it I think its worth it :)

OK so I managed to sort out the m sport steering wheel.turns out it just needed some tlc and nourishment.

I used auto glym cleaner and balm and a micro Fibre brush. They amount of dirt and oil on the wheel was crazy. Applied the balm and let it soak in and buffed it out with a micro fibre cloth. It's returned back to a matte look.

It was time consuming but well worth it.

Just a small update..
So bmw wanted to charge 4,5k to fit the m sport wheel.dealers claimed it needing coding and alignment after fitment. So wrong they are.

I did the retrofit myself which was an hours work in total. Really happy with the new look!feels so much better than while driving.

Need to hold on on software until the MP is over. Itching for some mods!

I have ordered some m fender badges in satin black and also placed an order for a hatch pop kit from emerald struts in the uk.

More updates to follow...

Can anyone recommend a good Detailer in the durban or ballito area?

I really want to get a 3 stage polish done on my car as there are many swirl marks and imperfections in the paint. Looks like it had seen many car washes.

Detail Xcellence would have my vote, epic work from Ricardo across every vehicle I have seen.

Umhlanga has Blak (Detail Driven) as well, no experience with them personally but Firoze has a great reputation.

I have forgotten about my own rides thread!!

Not much time update however. Car has been flawless thus far. I've only racked up about 12,000km since I took ownership.

Have had to replace one tyre due to a bubble caused by infamous potholes in ballito. Luckily I have tyre and rim insurance through king price so it cost me R250.00.

I have wrapped the mirrors in black and added smoked sequential indicators which look great and are super bright as compared to stock. I also lost some chrome look in the process. Jabsport sorted me out with some rear led number plate lights, nice clean white light.

I have an original maxton v1 splitter which I have yet to install, still a bit worried with the limitations it may bring being lower and the state of the roads. Shoutout to @Quintin140 for the splitter donation. I promise at some point I will install it!

Motorpan is due expire end of this month and will be loading a stage 1 file through Riccardo at RK motion. Still unsure on the downpipe yet as this may effect resale at a later stage.

Will be coding out the EGR and ordering blanking plates from darkside developments in the UK.

Next up is a 10 inch Android screen to replace my current business navigation screen. My car has Apple car play but no android auto. So updating makes perfect sense as I am a android guy

Below is the unit I will be installing:
