Hey

Great collection I have about 31 BMs' in my collection which totals about 170. Where did you get your M1s' I take it they are MiniChamps.

:ty: picked them up from everywhere over the years.....yip, they are 'MiniChamps' most of them!! My collection is around 800 cars in all shapes and sizes, lots of my prefered brand and everyone here :inlove: Would love to see your collection or even just part of it!!! So post dem pics :fencelook:

Or.....I don't think 'the bug' has ever stopped....only brought friends, lots of them, with great 'big chompers' :roflol: But I don't mind being bitten as long as it leaves a taste of BMW behind :bravo:

Hey Guys

I very quickly took some pics of my collection what you see is most of the models, a few more are under construction and some are stashed away somewhere else. Virtually all of it is 1:18 scale I have some 1:24 but I prefer the larger scale, I collect mainly road cars, I started off with Maisto Kits a few years ago but buy any make as long as the model is well made. Autoart is one of the best for me but has become very expensive Kyosho has become very good over the years but pricess are also becoming extreme, I am glad I got some UTs' while they were still out there. Anybody into the modifying game?

Hey Ram3on

Herewith the Cobra it's actually 1:24 scale made by Jada they have some cool staff but the finish can sometimes be shocking, that's why I started buying their 1:24 scale as the finish is much better. Most of my 1:24 scale models are by Jada, this one is mint and in the box.

Enjoy

Some years ago, I took pics of these 1:18 scale models - didn't realise I still have that 850i!

There were plenty of toy makers who made 850is in 1:18 and 1:24 scale - hope to find a few at the toy fairs again.

And, some of my Matchbox scale custom work:

The Mr. Bean Mini that I made and the original 'before' Mini. And, there's the Cabriolet that I made by cutting up one the Minis!

And, here is a Ford Cortina - the green one is the original and the blue one a custom that I did:

The old Matchbox Cortina and those classic old Matchbox boxes! I just love that era of toys.

Does anyone know where I can buy a 1:18 sale of a Z4M coupe? In South africa? :)

Sadly, the classic toy shops are very rare in SA now. I used to shop at Freddy's Toys in the PTA CBD since I was 10 - that is 28 years ago.

The owner, Manfred Dietrich from Germany, 38 years my senior and I became very close friends as I grew up. There were Alpina models, kits and all sorts of BMW. Suddenly, I found the store closed a few months ago and no contact details! After 30 years of trading - importing models.

Anyway, a Z4 model should be available at BMW dealers at a price!

Then there is a possibility that Toyzone or other large toy stores may just have one. I know Maisto makes some interesting stuff, and then there's Kyosho that makes many BMWs. There are plenty of 1:18 scale toymakers.

I'll be on the lookout for a Z4M when I'm at they toyfairs, meets etc.

I have a Z4 made by Kyosho, I am not sure if you will find the M I have never seen it before, but there are plenty of good model shops around so let me know where you are and I can direct you to one close to you.

I've only now noticed the 'Mr. Bean's hub caps.....great effort for such detail on such a small model  .....you've given me a great idea,:woot: I recently got given back a 'matchbox mini' that me and my brother use to play with when we were kids still, it's cool, we even had a go at painting it, but now I'll give it a revamp and change it to a 'Mr. Bean' like yours (hopefully you don't mind? :drama:

Actually I'm honoured! Can't wait to see some pics!

If you can get the new Matchbox Mini it will look even better. The old casting is not as realistically proportioned, but nonetheless, a yellow version would be brilliant!

There is a lot of fun and enjoyment in customising. When you see some of the models on the pegs in store, you get ideas of how to change them and make them more realistic! A lekker hobby!

Enjoy!
