It really is weird not hearing pops and bangs but the comfort and effortless nature that the diesel has is so much better for a daily... Feels weird not fueling up every second day lol

Thanks bud - I planned on getting mine done last weekend but didn't realize that they were closed over the weekends.

...So my car got some cosmetic goodies instead :fencelook:

First up was to get rid of the fishbowl look, and tint the windows. Went with a 20% Smash & Grab tint.

Popped over to Jabsport to get some front end loving (...lol's)

Splitters added:

Then it was time to add the lip on:

520d badge be gone!

The chrome grills were quite a pathetic sight after doing the splitters/lip in gloss black...:

Grill delete ftw...

Sanded the grills (slats and surrounds) down and then applied primer to them. Did about 3 coats and left them to cure. Sanded down another layer of paint the next morning in order to ensure that the 'base' is absolutely smooth. Applied another 3 coats of Gloss Black and about 3 layers of clear coat.

Yes.. those are cable ties... Noticed a slight hairline crack on the kidney grill so I got some epoxy and molded it back together (rear of the grill). The cable ties were there to hold it in place and in a straight line whilst the epoxy did its thing. Needless to say that they've been taken off now...

And here are some random pics that I took after putting everything back together...

Next on my list is to sort the rear end out. Spoiler, perhaps diffuser, and then I'm going to play around with the idea of changing the colour of the wheels.

I test fitted G30 side skirt extensions but they were about 2-3cms too long. Finding parts for the F10 is proving to be difficult. Visited a few places for the boot spoiler but most places either had nothing at all, or only had the M4 style spoiler which is a bit overkill for my car.

Coming along really well bro. Loving the transformation. I agree the Mperformace spoiler looks the best IMO.The others are a bit too much for the sleekness of the fiver. Oh and Badge delete FTW :cartel:

Great improvement on an otherwise perfect car. If you think F10 parts are difficult, you haven't owned a E60 :biglol:

Are you looking to change the wheels, when the rear is done, the stock wheels might not complement the look.

No thanks, not with 520D, tried it over the weekend and well... Lets just say I could clearly see the exhausts and brake lights and all the other cars between me and it.


Loving the cosmetic changes. Looks like she needs bigger wheels now.
