Thanks bud, yeah I believe that prevention is better than cure lol.

I plan on using BMW oil. Its not something that gets changed often so I dont mind spending a bit more just to be safe. Its about R530 per liter and our cars use 1.2lts, which means I would need to buy 2lts :smashScreen:

With that info I presume the diff on the 320d is different to the 330d, because JSN told me the 320d diff only holds 850ml?

Anyway, please do document the process with some pics, I am quite keen to see the condition of the old oil after 240 000+ Km, PLUS I am keen to see how you manage to extract the old oil, and replace. :=):

Nice Car, she looks beautiful. I think I saw you on the R21 the other day? Do you have RK motion sticker on the windscreen?

Finally got a chance to fit my new brake pads.
I was concerned that the rear pads were not wearing evenly. Seems like my initial inspection was wrong. :biglol:
This is obviously good news, All 4 pads when comparing left to right were pretty evened out. I did however clean the calipers, bushes and guiding pins and gave them a light greasing.

Did you replace the pads in the first few pics? Looks like there was still a bit of meat left on them if so?

Small update,
Stopped by at Leo Hase PTA this morning and John assisted with the Diff oil replacement.
I can thank the guy enough, it is such a great pleasure dealing with him and his team.

Brake Fluid Replacement - Done
Gearbox mounts(after inspection) - Done
Engine Mounts - Done
New Boost and Charge pipes - Done
Gearbox fluid replacement - Done
Diff fluid replacement - Done
Carbon Clean - pending
Trailing arm bushes - Inspected and they still look good but will change in the near future.

I seem to be getting there slowly but surely.
I have picked up an oil leak, still need to try and find out exactly where it is coming from. I read the codes and picked up that there is an issue with my oil pressure switch.
I also notice that the oil level sensor is not consistent with the dip stick measurement. So I will have probably try to identified the issue before my next oil service and resolve them when I have the oil drained out.

I have also loaded the XHP TCU map, stage 3.
It seems to be driving well in Sport and Manual mode, however I feel that it changes up too fast in Drive. All changes are below 2k rpm and it goes from 1st to 6th very fast, this might be good for economy or maybe it still needs to calibrate to my driving style, but not very confident that its the problem as i have already covered more than 500km after the flash. It also seems like it cuts power when changing through gears.
The changes in Sport and Manual are not as brilliant as the x35 flash but is definitely better than what it was when stock. Guess i was hopping for changes similar to DCT and that is not the case. :blueCry:
B1thc1ng aside, I am really happy with the car and look for to every drive.
it is by far the best car I have ever owned :praise:
I would also like to once again thank Keithan@RK Motion for writing me the perfect file.
The car feels so smooth as a daily drive and turns into a monster with just a flick of your leg on the throttle. :cartel:

If you say the fluid is still colourful and clean, its all good!

I did a flush on my 320d the other day and mine was not in a good condition. For a R200 DIY it's worth to do!

How did you do it? Assuming fill and drain until all fluid looks new?
