With yesterdays public holiday I was planning to finish off the car, but alas, tuesday night my 2 soldering irons and 1 dremel gas iron burnt out, what a coincidence, so could not finish up that evening. So yesterday I went to buy new items.

I purchased a set of hobby craft blades that I want to convert to work with a soldering iron, will make cutting plastic plenty easier.

I did not even get to that, as I was opening the packaging, the case fell out and My dumb doos instincts kicked in and I tried to catch it. That did not end well with numerous cuts and blood all over the floor. This little fucker did the most damaged where it penetrated in 2cm.

SO after quickly gulping down a beer and rushing off to Hospital...

....where I received some stitches, and being unable to bend my hand, as its cut on the palm. My plans for finishing the car was put aside.

Tough one! It's like a professional chefs knife, never ever try catch that sucker..

Do you have 2k mixed and then put into a spray tin, I seen that some paint spots can do that.

Flip bud that's amazing work.

Trying to see on builders website if I can find anything but no luck. Where do you buy your stuff from?

Paint Trade in Hill Fox had, also 1 of the only places I could find Plasti Dip and cheaper than builders...

Make sure its a proper builders and not one of those toss express stores, I get all my Rustoleum from Builders.

You can get OEM paint already mixed from most midas stores in the range of Holts paints. The 1'er was Alpine white III.

Righty O'

To carry one where we left off, I had to remove the stitches myself as wound got infected (From me not listening to the doctor and sanding and using water and chemicals all the time), so now that has to heal further, if it doesnt fall off, meh.

Sooo with the glue used on these headights, I had to use much violence, so thus I had some damage control to do..

The aftermath, right around the headlight.

After some heating, folding, bending, sanding etc
img_5599_3801945410.jpg

Then we mixed up some plastic filler
img_5640_7577521307.jpg

After a few sessions it was almost good as new, received some plastic primer and new plastic black coating
img_5760_9388315803.jpg

img_5765_2148340754.jpg

Then we move onto the lenses
They were in a real shitty state to begin with, even the inside had oxidation and light swirls.

img_5746_3580987285.jpg

img_5747_1378323961.jpg

The inside of the lense has no protection coating so it scratches very easily, I went with a 3 step detail on the insides
img_5745_7320205634.jpg

The outer side received a rough sanding going up in steps from 80grit to 2000 grit
img_5763_2146413354.jpg

Here you can see the original UV layer being sanded off, it was peeling on all the corners so had to completely remove it

img_5884_6808491158.jpg

Lights were then clear coated and left for a few days to cure, which came out looking like this, some lukka special at Game I must say

Hi guys.

New to the forum.
Mostly drove cars from the VAG stable, had one worked 325i E30 many years ago.

I bought Gideon's 335i last week, awesome drive, fuel consumption sucks, or it is just my right foot :crazylaugh:

Most of you know the car already, ill keep this page updated with some new mods.
