Ideally would like to move back to alberton. There is no real need for us to live in krugersdorp anymore, as the Wife and I both worked there, but she now works in randburg.
Look the area where we stay in krugersdorp is luckily not Randfontein, and I love it there. Its just we the only two there as all the family live in alberton, so it makes no sense specially with being in alberton every weekend with the little one.Dirtydeedsman said:ShaunB said:Phumi said:Where will you be based once you've registered you company bud?

But Krugersdorp is nice and .... ...... ...... ........mgwaiting:
Can't find a reason for you to stay there either lol. Its my home town and even I can't handle it.
Good luck with future plans and If you keep the same attention to detail there is no doubt in my mind that scrum muff will be as successful as a Mofo.

I honestly think its time I register a company and just do my own thing. Bosses are #unts.
Oh well, on to bmw things...
Collected this E46 330i from a customer for a minor service, drove the car home and it was an absolute donkey, no power at all through the rev range.
Car only has 130 000km, which was impressive over the phone for the year model.

So got ready to get cracking which was going to be a quick job. Then I opened the bonnet...

I then call the client to come fetch the car, as I obviously under quoted for this job and that there was going to be unknown damage due to all the rat droppings I saw in the engine bay. The she gave me a soppy story of how she has had the car at quite a few other places and all of them also refused to work on the car and that I can charge her extra she really just wants to get the car to an acceptable state again as it was her late husbands and was standing for quite some time and it has sentimental value bla bla bla
So stupid me accepted to continue with the job.
So I will let the pics do the talking.
Found numerous wires damaged by the rates, that were all resoldered and heatskrunk etc.
Temp sensors, vanos, lambda wires were all damaged. I was surprised the car drove, never mind started. Funny part is the car had no error codes on.

Started at 10am, finished last night at 11pm. Car pulls like an absolute dream now. She will be bringing it back for tappet cover gasket, radiator replacement and suspension refurb. So seems I have made a good impression.

Awesome advise....Ratslaaf said:Sorry to hear of your misfortune man. But, as I’ve told many people: “Desperation creates Innovation”. Don’t get put out by this; see it as an opportunity to actually determine your own future and be in control. It’s not easy striking it out on your own, believe me, but with your attitude (and some street smarts / entrepreneurial spirit) anyone can make it work.
It sure helped kick me in the arse to get out from under the man, and I’m not particularly bright :roflol:
