Look I what saw this weekend.

Took the oppertunity to quickly get few shot in with my car.

It is 1928 Bently, 6 cylinder, 6.5 liter. Has been fully restore and it is in awesome condition. Owner says costs around 3500 bucks to fill and he gets about 600 km out off a tank. :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Check how high the bonnet is compared to my car!!

Update: Did some general small DIY jobs today. The cargo net behind the passenger seat broke out so glued that back with pratley clear set. Looks like new again. The bolt cover on left side the A-pillar's material got pulled of slightly by car wash professional, use some material glue to get it back in it's place. Looks almost prefect. Two of my carbon fibre BMW wheel cap badges decide to missing and I am in general not happy with that product (the carbon badges). So I got some Alpina stickers to replace those. Yes yes I know I don't own a Alpina but I not going pay big bucks for a badge again, and I like these. Plus they only cost 100 bucks for 4 not 120 for one. Got the wheel alignment and balancing done as well. I redid the German flag on the grill because I was not pleased with first attempt. Reapplied some of the insulation tape for the angel eyes and xenon connections.

Pictures cause everybody loves pictures:

This weekend(Saturday & Sunday) me and a buddy got together and did some cosmetic work on our
e46's.

Mine: New carbon badges all round, carbon gloss vinyl on the door pillars(the plastic was starting to look really tired), darker tint on the front indicators (will be redone, I am not happy with the finish) and I dipped the wheels with some plastidip.

His: Full smoke headlights, dipped his wheels, redid his door pillars with carbon vinyl, plastidip on the bottom lip of his front bumper(transformed the look of that STD bumper in my opinion, it looks epic) and then some german flag vinyls.

Then had them washed cause we were just a bit gatvol and lazy.

I am liking the german flag on the grill, although i wanted to do the entire slat..., might be a bit of overkill

I like the subtle hint of it, plus I used insulation tape so it not broad enough.

If you have a broad piece you could do it but the top part will need some special cutting to make it look neat.

About 2 week ago, I heard very worrying knocking noise coming from the rear of my car. I stopped to see if I could see something but nothing.

The e46 was parked since then and I took it to Ross Duncan on the 3rd of Oct.

I initially thought I might just be universal joints or the prop bearing or the guibo joint.

Turns out the the diff bush is cracked, the guibo joint is on it's way out and Ross is going to grease the rear CV joints. The prop itself is 100%.

I had this whining noise on start up lately. Turns out the CVV(Crankcase Ventilation Valve) is also cracked. I will tackle that job myself asap. Looks like a bit of a difficult one but it should be fun.

All this time and upgrades and you still haven't put any fanatics stickers on the car...tsk tsk.
Please do shadow line window trims next, get rid of the horrid chrome.
She is coming along nicely.:coolShake:

I have a fanatics sticker on the rear window(this one actually needs to be replaced) and on the front bumper.

Doubt I will do the shadow line trim. I like the chrome around the windows, and the little bit on die grills.

Looking nasty Dewald :coolShake:

I am still in two minds whether I like the yellow or not. It works at night in the rain, takes away the glare from the water on the road.

I also like the chrome so in two minds about wrapping them matt black.. Will see how I feel as time ticks by. Your paintwork looks good bud :clapper: I also put a fanatics sticker on my front bumper, will share once I am happy with the car's appearance

Thanks bro, no you must share your progress. The paint actually needs some attention but I will get to that later on, first I need sort out the current mechanically bugs.

The thing with the chrome is, just like the little rear spoiler for the e46. Everyone wants to do or has done. I am not saying that it is wrong but I get what I mean.

Maybe I should make mine gold then I will be different :roflol::roflol:

Come to think of it remember seeing a concept car(I can't remember what it was), but the body colour was metalic grey & the all the trim pieces that you would expect to be chrome was brushed brass. And that did look pretty sweet.
