My car is still on the original BMW shocks, now at 17x xxxkm. They are probably proper finished by now :skit:

I did the damper refresh yesterday. The car handles so much better now. Even on my tires which are completely finished, going to Ralf next weekend for some rubber. The turn in as greatly improved(requires a hell of a lot less input from the steering wheel) and the car feels a lot less nervous and bumpy. Also feels firm(tight) but very smooth.

I replaced the following parts: Front springs( new H&R), the dampers(new Koni), shock mounts (Meyle), rear shock mount reinforcing plates(Axis), front shock mount reinforcing plates(BMW), Bump stops(BMW), protection tubes/dust boots(BMW), spring pads(BMW).

Some pics:

I am thinking of also replacing the rear springs, I want to feel if it will make a difference. I suspect the old springs have gone soft.

Next on the list (unless more pressing maintenance issues arise), a 3.0 Z4 short shifter plus I am going to have the wheels refurbished and sprayed metallic gun metal grey.


There is also a idea/plan for custom part that I would like to make however I will give more details about that a bit later(once i have done more research).

On Friday at a funeral the dominee reversed into my car, fortunately it is not hectic unfortunately it is lot of admin which could have been avoided

I will upload some more overall shots of the car later today need wash it first.
