Weather & Hail Warnings

I went pass the low lying bridge in Paulshof just after 4pm and the water was already flowing over.
Crazy thing is people approaching from the other side came flying over the bridge causing water to spray over on oncoming traffic. Then that filthy water is all over the car and makes it look even more filthy

Dont get me started with the cars with rear fog lights on after the storm has passed and sun is out.:thumbdo:

lol, i remember about 6 years ago with the big hail in centurion.. tried to save the girlfriend's mini cooper and ended up looking worse than the mini.. looked like i was playing paintball with blue/purple marks all over.. could not beleive hail could hit that hard

The funniest one I had was a gent in a prado which was assulted by his own roof light,

The hail hit it right on that sweet spot, and the roof light hit him in the face.

Its actually not that funny.... but more unbelievable

At the moment the weather radar is showing the majority of heavy thunderstorms are on the Vaal River moving eastwards, the first thunder cells start developing around Parys and mature towards Sasolburg/Vereeninging, and the general movement is eastwrds towards Denysville etc.

nothing yet north of this line, but am monitoring the radar images all the time

a completely new line of thundercells has developed from the west Mafikeng to Gaberone areas, they are moving towards Gauteng but will sitll be yet another 1h30 to 2h00 away, and they might fizzle.........or they might develope into mature thunderstorms by then....will monitor

now an hour away from Gauteng, dissipating indicated by the large "butterfly" wing formation, but with the deeper colour shading within, might still have a bit of a punch

now as the thundercell is forced to rise onto the "highveld" it seems to have re-energized, with deepening colours, indicating heavy rain/thunder/lightning, and even a possibility of hail (but probably not "goon" sized...more likely pea to grape sized...IF ANY !)

Storm now over the Carltonville/Krugersdorp area, over the CBD of JHB within 30 mins, overhead OR Tambo INTL in about an hour
