Beautiful car! Great write up, always nice to read about the journey. Congratulations!

Spacers are the other way around. 15mm front and 12.5mm rear. Don't hesitate, it makes the car look even more aggressive, you won't go wrong with that.

Thanks Bud :D I always mix this up....The Spacers are a must after seeing the threads on other forums however without the drop I think it will look incomplete but with M-dynamic as an extra and the Comp Pack already being 10mm lower than stock ride height, I am not sure which is the right direction.

About time @"Nemo" haha.. Nice write up and what a car! Wishing you many miles of smiles.. Perfect spec there, just missing that 3rd pedal.

Let us know how it gets on being a daily.. I find that they take a bit of time to get up to temperature, so short runs aren't optimal.
Thanks Bro :D I will definitely keep you posted. i have done a few short journeys in and around the area. The F12 was a lesson in sedate driving so i have no reason to be in any rush right off the bat and for the round the corner trips there is the UP! :D

Nice. I need to start inviting my car to the braai, at least I'll have something nice to look at
That was my mid lockdown one man braai, I needed some good company so I moved the E36 out the garage to spend some time ogling.

so a little update

The dealer that did the deal for me is a personal friend of mine and assisted with a ton of history on the car before I had purchased her and as the previous owner was immigrating, he had provided quite a lot of history as well. So the day before my purchase, i personally went to have the vehicle roadworthy and quality checks done for my own sanity. (this was the day before lockdown)

Anyway i had totally forgotten about it until two weeks ago when the dealer was trying to complete the re-registration onto my name but the licensing department would not release the disc. It turns out the the previous owner had wanted to take the vehicle with him to the UK and had done the police clearance in Jan/Feb (which we did not know about) this in turn flagged the vehicle on the licensing department system, anyway after a week and half everything is now sorted and the licensing is now done however getting a quote for new personalized plates has been like pulling hens teeth.

The weather was good this past weekend so she had a good wash. Some pics below, although in my haste I took the interior pictures before Jeff had gotten around to cleaning the inside (my apologies)

Sunday was a bit more eventful as I took a long drive around the ring just to get the temperatures moving. On my way back home on the highway passing nasrec going toward the North, a lovely Daytona Violet E36 M3 Coupe pulled up on to the fast lane. The  gent asked if we could go for it and I thought why not. Totally forgetting about the M Button  :fencelook: I was in setting 2 and comfort mode, i opened up quite a gap about 5 or 6 times until 14th avenue. Was a nice run and Hopefully this weekend I will wake up early enough to attend the AfterHRS chasing sunrise run around the ring.

For the M Drivers, what do your warm up routines look like?

Start up from cold, and set off immediately.
Keep RPM below 2000 in each gear until oil temp lifts just off 50deg.
As soon as it lifted off 50, keep the RPM below 2500 until it reaches the 75deg dot.
Increase RPM limit to 3000 until it reaches halfway between the 75 dot and the middle 100 mark. Now drive it like you stole it :smilebounce:

Start up, keep shifts at below 3000 and throttle opening to 50% max. When warm can give it more horns.

My dream car! Any worthwhile updates to this thread?

Saw one in Jhb South (this spec) this afternoon. What a beauty.

So yes, she was sold unfortunately. I am not quite sure where she landed up.

The Porsche Bug Bit and that was that. Dearly missed though and judging by todays prices I should have held on for another year :D
