My 125i M-Sport

Hi Guys

I traded in the E92 325i for a 2011 125i MSport Auto. The 325i as reliable as it was, was approaching 150 000kms, I just felt we needed a car with a decent chunk of M/Plan. The 125i could have been registered as a 2012, but the previous owner first licensed it in Dec 2011, perhaps not knowing any better. So basically this car is only 2years in Dec 2013.

Its amazing that even though both the 325i and 125i have very similar power outputs, they have very different driving experiances. The 325i is very sedate and quiet, the 125i however is very vocal, and definitely feels like a big engine (3.0L) in a small body but restricted somehow. The boot space was a surprise as even with the space saver wheel in, there is still space for shopping and a suitcase. I think with small kids the rear space is ok. However, we did manage to travel with 4 guys in the car, all we had to do was bring the driver and passenger seat forward a bit.

I really am enjoying it, I know it isn't fast, but it is so enjoyable through the corners in typical RWD fashion, the sound, the compactness, steering feel etc. I think I have been so insulated driving the larger E9x models, that when you drive the 1coupe they feel like as different as chalk and cheese.

Need to source the following:-

1. a performance rear spoiler
2. LED or white angel eye bulbs (crazy on the Lci 1ser coupe the top LED eyelid is white, but the rings are yellow)
3. Carbon wrabbing (want to do the front section of the bumper and interior)
4. Black kidney grilles

Need to update the signature as well.

Here are some pics:-

Thanks guys. The car has a handsfree compatibility with my phone. However I can't play the music on my phone through the audio system, just for calls only.

Does anyone know if bluetooth audio is active on the Lci 1coupe, or do I have to take it to BMW to have activated or setup?

Congrats on the car.

Sorry the BMW bluethooth modules dont work that way as far as i know from the 323i that i have.

When i bought my 335i BMW fitted an approved aftermarket unit that plays music via any bluethooth enabled phone and tablet. Cant remember what the system is called.

Thanks man, though it would be a feature of the hands-free compatibility. I guess USB it is then.

I found that the Android phones don't work with the USB plug-in. Blackberry works.
