Hi everyone, I found this site through E46Fanatics. I think it's awesome to have a South African BMW site.

I drive a Silver Gray 04 320d 6sp manual, with about 135,000km on the clock. It's completely stock, and I'm not planning any upgrades (would much rather save the money and buy something like a 330i). It is in pretty much perfect condition.

I only have these pics of the day I picked it up. I've been meaning for the past couple of months to have it detailed and take some better pics.

And yes, I know it's almost identical to freerider's 320i.

Thanks guys. By stock I mean it hasn't been modded since it rolled out of the showroom.

I am thinking of selling it soon though. The cloud of diesel smoke it made this morning when I started it once again annoyed me (nothing wrong, it always happens in the winter). Plus I drove an E39 530i a while back, and I need that engine in my life...

The 'cloud' is a malfunctioning EGR valve. Exhaust gas recycle valve. I doesnt open/close correctly, and then leaves a trail of smoke. Happened to me 3 times during the last 40 000 km. You just stop, switch off and wait 10 seconds. Repeat if needed, but that solves it.

The EGR valve was replaced by BMW a couple of months ago due to the turbo not engaging at all. The car doesn't leave a trial of smoke, it's just when it starts after standing outside the whole night that it makes the diesel cloud. I live in Potchefstroom where the temperature dropped to near freezing last night.

sounds almost like there may be an oil seal or something on its way out.
