Wow! Love that colour!! F20 still has to grow on me, but this is helping a hell of a lot - really looking good, interior is very nice a fresh looking, I like! Great choice of wheels too!

I reckon exposed turbo not hidden by engine covers is most likely simply because of heat issues - these things need air-flow when working harder, and as much as some of us love fire, sometimes not always the best plan to have flammable plastics too close to potentially red/white hot parts of the engine.

Looking forward to your impressions as you put many happy kms on the clock!! Enjoy!

there are materials that wont catch fire i know  they could cover it if they wanted to and still let air flow under it... my guess is they wanted everyone to see the turbo to make a statement...

I see a turbo...:fencelook:

There's another underneath it

I dont get that they cover up the whole engine with covers, but leave the turbo out in sight...
Its so you can swop it out to a bigger one quicker. 335 takes 18 hours of labour.

lol i some how dont think thats what bmw had in mind... but it is handy and it seem you already making plans

I think its easier for the mechies to swap out when they go POOF!!! We all know how well bmw turbos do at reef level...:fencelook:
