Alooo,
Any updates here?

By the way, did you manage to dyno with the race chip ultimate?
Also how did fuel consumption change in the different modes?

Are the brakes fitted? So many questions

Mornings....lots of updates.

First answer, I did Dyno with the RC, but couldn't get it to race mode, stupid phone didn't wanna pair. So I Dynod the car on effecient mode.

113wkw and 400nm measured on the wheels.

Stock iis 130kw and 350nm on the fly.

So yes racechip does work.....

But it's now removed and I've done a flash with Stealth Lenasia on the car. No time to Dyno, but will do so in November.

New updates...

The 120d is with us for just over an years, and it's been an absolute wonder to drive.

Current mileage is 117 xxx km and also being 12months, we decided to do a full service once again.

List:
- New oil and filter
- Diesel filter
- Cabin filters
- Fitment of bmw 135i performance disks, pads and callipers up front.
- Stainless steel brake lines
- New Meyle disks and pads at the rear.
- New sensors all around.
- Cluth and flywheel was also replaced, as it was slipping slightly from the day we bought it.
- Fitment of ST coilovers
- Downpipe
- New software from Stealth

Review:

Brake systems was fitted along with the ST coilovers. After the fitment, I has an issue on a slight rattle/clunk from the suspension and it ended up being the stabiliser links. Replaced them with new stabiliser links and all is well again. Car feels much more solid on the road now, and ride quality has also improved. Very happy this far with the coilovers.

The performance brakes are night and day compared to the stock setup. The car brakes much better, bites quicker and inspires confidence. Loving them. I need to paint the rear stock callipers to match the fronts now.

Downpipe was sources from Ace Performance all the way in KZN. Adds a nice tone to the car as well, and I'm happy with it. Ace's work is excellent as well.

Old vs New....

New clutch and flywheel also make the car much more solid with no slipping and easy gear changes. I would really love to get s shirt shift kit now for the 1er as well. New parts were manufactured by LUF.

New...forgot to take pics after I opened it

Software change : I wanted to give software a bash. Whilst I really wanted to support Kieth from RK, I just couldn't get the car out to him as it's our daily commute for the wife and kids, and with my work not allowing me to takes days off, I can't drop off and pick up. So I settled on a stealth , and my mech is a stealth agent so it just made easier to get it all done.

Race chip was removed and new tune loaded. Coupled with the Downpipe, the 120d is moving effortlessly and feels very torque driven. Loving it thus far and will hopefully spend more time with it after the holidays.

Bruce from the forum also made the trek to Lenasia and rolled my arches on both the 120d and the 335. So no more touching even when loaded now. Will wait for the springs to settle a little before I adjust the height again, but so far so good

Thanks for reading.
