#1: The car is still not pushed to its limits - there is more to give! :=): I have pushed my 330d and drive it really hard - no issues in the pass 2yrs

#2: Drive-able - i recommend you go for a drive in some of our cars, its difficult to explain the way the power is delivered! Feeling is Believing here :=):

Give me a call and i can hook you up with some of the guys.

Hi Kiethan

Maybe you should arrange a meet and greet at your shop or at a mall
central to JHB

Would be nice for a lot of the memeber who are interested in checking
out the set up and even a test drive in one of your maped cars

I for one would be very interested in this

P.s , Saturday afternoons are always best

I'm getting ready to do a downpipe, decat and software on my 2011 BMW 330d LCi.

What I'm worried about with these aggressive setups:
#1 -Reliability, pushing so much above stock power has to weaken the components? (Gearbox, drivetrain etc etc)

#2 - How drive-able are these cars for daily driving?

#1 I also dont think that the maps are aggresive, they are instead very progressive,
#2 Very driveable, i also had software and didnt really think there was anything wrong, until driving with the new map i notice differences. It actually makes it easier to drive the daily commute. I sometimes used to get frustrated driving in traffic with the old map, but always attributed it to the gearbox software ( theres a alpina flash for the e9X, but none available for E6X) taking longer than i would like to change or changing down when in normal drive. I did find the sport mode a little too sensitive, but only when trying to drive slowly in sport( which rarely happens) but not now.

I'm also very keen, let me know when and where and I'll be there.

Awesome, does the Alpina flash work well with the diesels?

I don't know anyone personally who has done it. I know the x35i guys with the same box have done it but no diesels....maybe there's a reason,I just haven't found it.

I had a look at some YouTube videos last week, it looks pretty good on the 335i but I would think it's not made for the low revving diesels...

Will try and find out :)

The 335i E90 uses the ZF6HP19 variant whereas the 330d E90 uses the ZF6HP26, as far as I know there is only an alpina transmission flash for the 6HP19, had it on my 335i was awesome!

having had a 330d 6 speed manual with 498nm on rear wheels was insane(BMW software),i think this car would scare the shit out of me,i do know the motors can handle the upgrades but did hear that the autobox was limited to 650nm,love to see how this one would hold up.

going to be following this thread, might even come to the meet if not on stand by
