Had another awesome time at the track with Ga-3m. Tried to use "track addict" for timing again. It failed, then I tried chronorace, the lap times where all over the place (said I did a 1:20 which I highly doubt).

I then bought track attack, and it seemed to be more consistant. Used it in the last two sessions got a 1:23:933. How accurate these apps are I don't know. I can say I am pretty sure my laptimes are around the 1:25 mark.

I need better tires that is for sure.:rollsmile:

We only ran 3 classes so got lot more track time this time round(170km compared to 118km). Consumption was about the same 22l/100km, average speed was up from 69 to 88:rollsmile:

Also saw P Smit's car there, looks mean :clapper:

The new daily has arrived, needs to be driven in hopefully I can get that done quickly as I am over traffic and 13l/100km @25km/h average speed.

It is a 2016 KTM Duke 390 and has a full 25km on the clock of which 3 was done by the dealer. :rollsmile:

Only extra's are the "power parts" KTM levers and the top box rack - will receive that at a later stage when they have stock.

No I have never owned a bike before nor do I have any real "exp". So the ride in period will have suffice but also it a "beginner" friendly bike, they say. And the only way to learn is to do it yourself.

I filled up on Sunday morning tracked(170km) it and had to fill up Monday evening again @ 270/80km, 18.7l/100km. :roflol::roflol:

I am not a bike person, but I do like the "naked look" of this.

If I had to mod it, I would only do 2 things....
* Do something about that rear numberplate protruding so far outuke:
* Try and get smaller/shorter rearview mirrors

This will give it a bit of that cafe racer character

I still prefer cars honestly, I drove the BMW to work this morning(early no traffic :rollsmile, the car just sits better with me(for now). I like bikes have always like automotive stuff(planes, trains, trucks, bikes and cars) in general.


Mods will have wait until I start maintaining it myself, I don't mind the number plate carrier. The mirrors on the other hand are not great, I might even do those handle bar options to get them out wide to see better.

bikes dont have airbags, and judging by the hourly updates on the pigspotter twitter feed and others, the biker carnage is massive, and the end is never pretty either

In total I have now ridden just over 400km in the past few days on the bike, but today I went for a proper long ride. 220km took me 4 hours and 25min of city riding and open road riding, consumption was 31km/l :rollsmile:. And I rev'ed up to the limit (7000rpm, still being ridden in) every time.

Was a great ride, learnt a lot my clutch fingers are proper sore but at least I getting the hang of it now. :rollsmile:
