Dewald I like your style with upgrades all round, btw why didnt you do power flex bushings if I may ask

I spoke to numerous people when asking for advice regarding the suspension. One thing was clear poly pushes are great but there is limit (this personal thin, cause we are all different) to which you want to use them on a road car. They make the car very hard and as a whole my ride is pretty firm(dare I say close to the e39 M which is parked next it).

I have used poly LCAB's and then will install poly swaybar bushes. Just to be cautious. Don't want make the car so hard that I becomes uncomfortable to drive, it is my daily.

While i would love to replace as you have done, I have seen what the bushes for the E60 come to for front and rear....., and i will only be able to replace on a priority basis....

The front poly sway bar bushes arrived this week, installed them this morning before the Cars and Coffee event. Overall impression the car feels better in long corners(high way corners) and overall the front end is smoother. Also the moaning from the suspension(front) is less when going bumps, big bumps there is still a bit of noise. The bushes has not made the ride harder or bumpier.

To give you an idea of how worn/soft the old ones were. Deflection comparison with my left hand only.

If you jack up the car (on one side) a bit you are able to put some tension on the sway bar. Here is a comparison with the right hand bush replaced and the old one on the left. The pics show both sides of the bushes (from the inside looking out and the opposite). I did jack both sides to about the same height.

Also discovered the metal clunking noise I hear after replacing the control arms. The sump gaurd was the culprit. Took a bit of meat off it should be fine now.

Lastly I replaced the rear number plate lights, the right hand side gave out.
Some pics of our pre cars and coffee hook up at soccer city, thanks Thiren, Yuben & Divio.
