Here is some images of the reflections I was taking about previously :inlove:

And this guy is up and running again. Took it for Chapman'speak run last weekend.

Progress on the door is still a bit slow. Should have it ready for primer this coming weekend.

Fix the door and sill. And some other little spots on the body work. Then I want to fit the short shifter that has been sitting om desk for the past 6 months.

Finally give her a proper polish and wax.

Hoping to have those things sorted this year still :smilebounce:

It came together nicely. The black rims come off racy on a white car.

It added something like 1200wkw :smilebounce:

I am interested to see what your short shifter looks like? Also need to find another one for myself.

To be honest the eBay shifters. Is a direct shift. Oem has a bit of room before it goes into gear

Pretty certain there used to be OEM short shifting gear knobs.
In the US the ZHPs had it by default.
Mtech packages could have it. My 1x 330i came with a chrome short shifter as part of the mtech1/chrome package. I have seen it on 1 other car on gumtree. Eventually found the oem part#, but BMW have 0 stock left even in Germany. I wish I could get another one like it.

Just purchased the ZHP weighted gear knob for my car and installed on Saturday, along with the Mtech II steering wheel - WHAT A DIFFERENCE, actually wish I had changed sooner. The OEM short shift gear knob, changed the entire feel of the shift action because it sits lower than the standard gear knob, moved over from the leather M gear knob.

Purchased from the agents for R800 after discount :smilebounce: P.N: 25117896031

Yeah I will probably settle for this one as well. My current one look exactly like it, except in Chrome.

This is the one:
Part# 82239405686
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=ET56-EUR-09-2002-E46-BMW-330i&diagId=03_2841

So aluminum with Msport emblem with numbers.
Closest image I could find:

What I mean by short shifter is not the a lower/smaller knob. but the linkage that the knob fits onto. Giving you a shorter throw form say 2nd to 3rd.

I bought same kinda think as this link - click

As for the knob I actually want to CAD a up my own design and have our machinists work his magic. Make a nice light weight piece from aluminium.

The KTM has made it's way back to the workshop. Seems like the overheating caused the heat gasket to go.

I will strip it down next weekend to assess.
I silently praying that the head is not cracked cause KTM wants almost 7k for a new one
