An interesting response to say the least.

The fact that you are not apologetic but are rather indignant clearly indicates a man with no moral compass.

Irrespective of what I do or say or think the bottom line is that you deprived a man of his possession under the guise of rendering a service.

As to me having prior knowledge of what you did is clearly incorrect because when I stated that Moose told me that you stole his differential you would not have said "15/07/2020, 14:35 - Peter Karvelas: Spoke to Moose about his blackmail and he tells me that you swapped his diff from the m3 and sold it to Mark who he bumped into and told him the story of how Mooses diff was  being swapped for another one.

Is that true?

15/07/2020, 14:35 - Warren gizmo: Not at all

So Warren past this point all I can say is buzz off and go crawl in the corner you slithered out of you lying thieving slug.

Okay so there's still no third side to this story. Where are the FACTS we were told to wait for? :dunno:

Sounds like he acknowledged his mistakes so no further facts to be discussed, no?
Hope everyone learns from their mistakes in this and moves forward. No point hanging things over yourself or anyone else forever. Live and learn.

Chor...finish and kla

WE as a community have come down damn hard on anyone who TRIED to take this forum and its members for a ride (that F30 sale was a perfect example).

For someone whom Fanatics members used for years, and many defended blindly, these Facts which have to come to light are unforgivable in my books. I dont say this as Hater, I say as a person with business ethics. These are 2 cases which came forward, issues on different cars owned by the same people. How many others have been taken for a ride like this and don't even know?

Appauling and unforgivable. I will not buy into sympathy seeking post. But that's just me

I ask that you give me some time. it took me all afternoon to type my previous response and there is so much more typing involved to clear the air.
Im no good at typing and don't particularly care for it. Spoken word is far better for me, always has been.

You acknowledge and make reparation. You equally refrain from muddying the waters. One equally stands up apologises sincerely and does not try and drag third parties into his mess who were not party to the theft.

Not being personal however consider your position if your mint car was stripped for the parts to be sold off and other parts fitted.
I suspect that you would be highly upset and maybe not so quick in forgetting.
No offence meant.

There's alot to be said of a man that admits his wrong doing's, there's no doubt about that, whatsoever and there is respect to be given there, Warren.

However as you mention you're at the mercy of the forum and at this juncture that is most definitely true. While the members here are by no means judge or jury, we are all here a part of a community, some of whom make use of your services, either currently or who have in the past and some who will at some point in the future find themselves considering making use of your services.

Thus it is only fair to the members here that the full story is told on all sides. Feels to me like we've got both stub axles, but missing the actual diff bit in the middle now

Swopping parts and keeping quiet also seems to be your strong point. I suppose because I'm a business owner as well, this infuriates me even more.

Sure I agree. And if it were my car I likely would have taken legal action and posted my experience for all to be aware and not make the same mistakes I did. However I would of done that as soon as I had found out.
5 or 6 years later in sure the sting is kinda out and as I said hope all learns from the experience in both sides.
What else can you do other than that...

Remember it was not the victim of the diff that aired this 5 or 6 years later though.

Firstly, It cannot be a mistake if you know you are being dishonest to people. You are fully aware of your doings at that point in time. No use acting like you didnt know better

Secondly, people that play victim after being caught out is just looking for a sympathy party, theres helplines for that, not on this forum.

People like this, do not deserve to be on this forum, they will apologise and acknowledge "mistakes" today, next week its a new victim. This time he was caught qith evidence, how many other times has it slipped by with forum members? Thinking they in good hands and unfortunately no evidence to prove the lies to make an extra buck

Honest customer service goes a long way and this forum needs good people for its members

I say a permanent ban is in order

This is not a place for liars, and robbers

Does beg the question, why is this only coming out now after 5 years. I smell a rat. Did he only meet Mark now 5 years later?

I was under the impression he found out a few months later, meaning about around 5 or 4 years back. I might be wrong.
Either way, seems wrong was done and hope it gets resolved.

It came to light on another group (2 weeks back) when Gizmo questioned another members integrity. (Mine)
Moose then mentioned that Gizmo should be the last to question anyone else.

Only rat you’re smelling is Gizmo...

Ok that i could agree with if people never change. Sometimes they do. At least Thankyou for explaining how this only came out now.

Im no good at typing and don't particularly care for it. Spoken word is far better for me, always has been.

If Peter did not have all those messages and screenshots, would the response have been to deny everything, accuse Moose of lying and then have supporters come up in defense? I guess we won't know the real answer.

This was a rough one to read for me because I have also ended up in Moose's situation before (in a far more extreme way granted) with someone else.

I have never forgotten and never forgiven not for stealing, but the lies and slander. This should be a space where people can give their honest experiences and feedback without having the automotive version of victim blaming. The Subaru community was not one of those spaces, but hopefully we are here.

What is unfortunate is now every client will be asking questions, those who have given recommendations will also be hurt and even those in the 'wrong' as clients will climb in since the dam has now broken.

EDIT: Someone posted already about my other question

This is really bad. 5 years ago or yesterday.
We come onto this forum for good advise and great service from service providers/forum advertisers.

And there’s a few of them on this forum that are brilliant. I see no place for someone who lies and steals from clients let alone friends that they knew since primary school.

I second the idea of a permanent ban.

I've been in this situation. Legal action for a diff? Your legal fees alone will be higher than buying a new one and moving on. I had to collect a car on a flatbed with R100K in missing parts (a car that I drove into the place) and the lawyer herself advised that even if I did win I would get paid eventually over many many years... Then you make a call on whether you just use that money to fix your car and move on. When you're going on the reputation of a person you also tend not to document everything religiously, brush off the first few odd sounding experiences etc. Do you think people would still do this so often if there was any real legal consequence?

Also the fact that it happened 5 or 6 years ago is distasteful to me for other reasons. Again this BS of sacred cows - people worrying about accuse someone online - not wanting the fans to brigade the post and negative rep you...  Yes this has come up now, but people have been recommending Gizmo over these years knowing this. Of what value was sending more and more forum members to a person if this information was known? When he was banned (also years ago when I was still a mod) everyone bumped all his old threads lamenting his loss (though I love those threads). I could never understand WHY everyone reacted that way (needing weekends to cool off on discussion groups etc)... now maybe it becomes clearer as there was other information.

The time to clear the air was all those years ago... though the second best time I guess is now.
