use jumper cables next time? Bad battery or something draining the battery?
I once experienced a Z3 that the seat switch was stuck on and pulling a current the whole time. It would drain the battery over 2 days.

Disconnect the battery and connect a multimeter to amps and see how many amps she is pulling. The car needs to be locked with lights off. If it is pulling high amps pull each fuse until the current drops drastically. In my case it was the fuse for power seats.

Hey pilot error, congrats on your gorgeous car! Have fun bringing her back up to scratch. From the info you provide, I have a feeling your problem is not a weak battery, but something draining off it. It could be a number of things, including that seat switch, I would also check any window demister switches, as my brother just had a very similar problem, and that was the culprit. Also, sort out your front bumper only after you have raised the car, otherwise you may land up skuffing it again. Sounds obvious, but I know friends who have done this by just not thinking clearly. Good luck, look forward to seeing your progress.

The only way that fitting a charger will offend anyone here is if you don't post a full write-up of the project and if you don't post lots of pics and videos.

meh, a lot of stuff on BMW's is made by the same guys that make stuff for mercs, and other cars for that matter, so it really doesn't matter.
