@venterj.....you are correct with the mention of 'no passenger window'....it came like that!

@miker....love the bikes!!! they are very cool....I have a few of them and will take out one day and post

@venterj....you were talking about an E46 Convertible, I think Kyosho makes one and there are still available, saw one in Cape Town last week!!

Thanks Ram3on I have the Kyosho E46 F/L 328i cabrio in red, I was looking for the Phoenix Yellow E46 M3 cabrio, found one in the UK, the Deputy Editor of BMW Car magazine is bringing it for me next week.

I organised for him to come to the BMW Concour, plus he is doing a seven other shoots for the mag while he is here.

Hey Mohammed

Glad you found the thread, real sorry to hear about your break in, don't know what I'd do if my collection was stolen. You had some real nice models.

In the last few months my model collection has grown substantially, more so my BMW selection.

It seems that all else was put on hold to fuel my diecast addition not always a good thing. :fencelook:

Anyway of the seven BMWs recently acquired here are the two more significant ones, first up is the M1 Jochen Neerpasch, as with the actual car this model was made in limited numbers for Page and Cooper in the UK, only 1000 were produced by Norev.

This is not a bad model but I so wish Kyosho would patch things up with BMW, even the two (Norev) F10s which I recently got from the dealer is really no match for Kyosho and don’t get me started on the F10 M5 by Paragon….seriously what were they thinking. :yuck:

This model can’t hold a candle to the E60 M5 produced by Kyosho, what a shame. :nonono:

The second is the E36 M3 GT the actual car was only produced in LHD and only 350 examples, all of which were produced in British racing green. This model is made by the French outfit Otto Mobile (produce models that no other manufacturers make) as with all their models the body is completely sealed (the wheels do turn), the model was produced in limited numbers and has sold out on their site (you might still find some examples on ebay).

Although there are no opening parts the model is exceptionally well made and is real good value for the price, even with shipping. :bravo:

Enjoy

And so the addiction continues……………………………..:biglol:

On the 14 December I asked Leo Haese to order me a 650i Gran Coupe in Frozen Bronze from Germany, my wife agreed to pay for it as a Christmas present. :ty:

It arrived yesterday and I fetched it today.:joy:

This is also by Paragon but is a vast improvement on the F10 M5 I moaned about earlier, still not as good as Kyosho. :bravo:

My F13 M6 Coupe has arrived..................

Not without drama though, Paragon why oh why did BMW decided to go with you :yuck:

The first model I had to return, the left rear suspension had collapsed, the beading on the A-pillar on the left side was not painted properly in black, and worst of all the drivers/left door would not open. :argh:

Thankfully it was exchanged without a hassle, I inspected the second one thoroughly and it seemed perfect until I got home. The steering would only tun to one side, but after a bit of fettling I managed to sort it and I must say that I am rather impressed. :joy:

Just look at it :inlove:

Please tell us where we can get our hands on these!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys

There are plenty of model shops in Gauteng and throughout South Africa, even some online ones but I find them expensive, :fencelook: but check out The Model Spot http://www.modelspot.co.za/

Ultimate Hobbies http://www.ultimate.co.za are the official distributor for Kyosho in South Africa, so usually plenty of BMs to choose from up until the F02 when BM decided to look elsewhere
They are at Hillfox and now Fourways as well.

I really also like Toy Train in Meyerton, wide variety and normally well priced.

Grand Prix Models in Boksburg also has a wide variety but I find them expensive, also in Bokburg is Models for Africa.

When on the South Caost of KZN I like to go to Denkit, I find that their stuff is very well priced.

There are plenty, Aladdin's Cave in Bedford Centre and Caves in Eastgate the list goes on but shop around for the best prices.

I also buy directly from Otto Mobile in France.

Also try your closest BMW dealership, you can Google all of these and get the relevant details you need.

And to end off pics of my E30 M3 Cecotto edition which I took yesterday.
