Originally my dad's collection - started back in 1997... I contributed a few cars over the years.. When he passed 2 years ago, I took it over, and the bug bit properly.

I've added another 35 or so 1:18 cars, and have a few more on the way.

There's also a new display case being made for the 1:43's currently in the left-hand cabinet, which will free up some space for more of the larger scale cars.

Sorry for potato phone pics with loads of glare - need to get the camera out and snap some proper shots - but still got other work to do in the man cave.

Nope... this one's staying...

It's the closest I'll get to a model of my Sapphire Black E90 330d.

I'm now hunting for an E92 Coupe in Sapphire Black - they don't make it anymore, so looks like I'll have to import a used one. :skit:

Been a while since I've updated.

So the bug has bitten... hard..

Late October saw the opportunity come up to pilfer cars from a 500-strong collection in Hermanus, and I jumped at it, managing to source a good couple of items that had been on the wishlist for ages...






A Black Friday / Cyber weekend special saw me ordering 54 cars from abroad... Yes, fifty-friggin-four cars. I'll only keep around 25 for myself... the rest were cars that mates asked me to bring in, or ones that should fetch a reasonable price locally on account of their relative rarity.

Oh, and I also have the following cars on the way from eBay:

Kyosho E92 330i Coupe in black with tan seats (same spec as my 335i)


Kyosho E92 M3 Coupe in red


Kyosho E93 M3 Convertible in white


UT E36 M3 GTR Street


I'll post some pics when they arrive, as well as some updated snaps of the display cases.

A great big thank you goes to Divio for directing me to a gumtree add which was for a model I had been searching for, Steve Soper's BTCC E36 1:18 scale UT Models. This particular one was a limited edition sold by the bmw agents but long since discontinued, bought it from a collector in the western cape.
Now I have both team mates, Johnny Cecotto and Steve Soper, last one to find will be Joachim Winkelhock BTCC E36.
