First things first, happy holidays for those that are going on leave and enjoying! It's been a long year, so be safe and well wishes to you all, and your families :blowheart:

Rowen brought through his 1M for its annual pamper session - needless to say that I welcomed it with open arms - the experience from this detail alone is well worth it since Rowen has been detailing for longer than I've been out of school, so he knows his way around. Also there's always the allure of working on a limited edition car that shows off the owner's attention to subtle detail :bravo:
It's all a win.

Product List:

Scholl S3
Scholl S30+
Black Fire GEP and Wet Diamond sealant
Auto Finesse Illusion wax
Auto Finesse Passion wax
Auto Finesse Hide leather cleaning kit

And a looooooong list of other sundry AF products that are just too many and much to mention, so if you'd like to know anything specific, be sure to ask

The Premise:

Rowen wanted the car detailed for his trip down to Durban over the festive season. This included the removal of very light to medium swirl, a few buffer trails on the door as well as an interior refresh.

Before I go ahead and claim all the glory here:
1. This car was in great condition to begin with. I cannot ever over-stress the point about regular and proper paint maintenance making a job infinitely easier far down the road. However, this is what the paint looked like:

Slight marring as well as swirling.

2. Azhar and Shezaad completed an epic amount of work on this car, so props to them for working so efficiently and effectively! :bravo:

Here's and after shot for the pic above:

Nice!

The car went through the usual phases:
Wash
Clay
Wash
Compound
Finishing polish
Paint prep and clean
Sealant application
Wax application

With the interior work covered in between

A nice 50/50

So after the paint was prepared well, and refined out, we began applying the sealant:

Post sealant

Once the sealant was left to cure, off we went with the Auto Finesse Illusion Show Car wax:

The car looked gorgeous in the show car wax, as can be seen, but with the harsh elements that durban has to offer, we agreed to go over the car once more after a few weeks and take a re-look at the LSP options...

And so Rowen picked up the car and went home, to return after two weeks...

So round two came about last Friday, and I had fun testing out some new products and equipment that I managed to gather in the interim :chef:

I took some beading shots of the car, wearing its last bit of Illusion and the Black Fire sealant:

And then it was time for some soapy-soapy:

With the wash out the way, the car looked like this once dry:

After seeing the post wash and dry shine and reflection, Rowen and I agreed to stick with the Black Fire system and top it off with a wax that had longer durability.

So the car was given a GEP once over, two coats of sealant, left to cure after each coat then topped off with a coat of Auto Finesse Passion. This was is just lovely to work with, I was very impressed with the extra it gave to the look of the paintwork! I wouldn't say it's as easy to use as illusion, but it still wasn't bad to work with at all. Nice one AF!!

So here's the finished result:

And there you have it :bravo:

Shoutouts:

- Rowen, thanks for the opportunity and help :ty:

- Azhar and Shezaad - you're both indispensable :praise:

- The Fanatics Family for the support and great feedback :blowheart:

Also note, I do have capacity for two cars next week, at a December special price of R2,800.00 for interior and exterior work :chef:
