The white is a really nice colour

thanks man. I like the white also. just need to keep it polished. I owned a white car before. I used to polish it every month, and then i stopped. The colour turned a little yellow. I wont let that happen to this car.

Yeah, there is nothing worse than a dirty yellow looking white car, but I must admit have seen very few bmw's looking like that. Just be careful with polishing, as polising the car too much is also bad for the paint. I have heard, but can't verify this, that you shoudn't polish your car more that twice a year.

Thanks for the reply. Im not too sure bout the whole polish thing myself. but it think it has to do with the amount youd drive in the year. my bro polishes his e46 318i every month, and the car seems fine. he uses Meguiars Colour X. he hand polishes the car, no machines. Even id hand polish this car, I dont like the machines.

would definitely love to do that to the car. any idea what the bixenon install would cost.

Id also like to get the bottom bits of the from bumper repainted. its been scratched by the previous owners. I dont encounter any obstacles that would scratch the bumper, so id like to get it repainted or touched up. its only the "splitters" (those two little sections that stick out of the bumper) that need repair.

estimate prices would be appreciated.

Gizmo was charging R2500 for the Bixenon install, he doesnt have stock at the moment but should be able to get some.. Dont know what the price will be now..

LED Parks I can get ones that claim to be error free for R200 a set :)

LED Fogs, I will need to see what bulb type your fogs are & then check. I wonder if the fogs have the bulb error function, if not then it makes it easier..

as for fixing the bumper, I dunno hey..

I guess it would depend on the type of polish as well, personally I am a bit lazy to polish the entire car every month by hand. If I polish the entire car I normally use a orbital polisher. Other than that I would do smaller part of the car that are more prone to damage, door handles, mirrors, around fuel cap, etc, on a more regular basis by hand.

@ andrew, the bixenon price is actually quite lekker, even if there is a hike in the price, i doubt that it would be a great difference.

as for the LEDs, sounds good to me. just have to wait till next month. I used all the money i had on this car. so right now, my wallet is running on fumes. No hurry to do anything as yet.

@ Sank - I know how you feel. Ive never hand polished my own cars, always took it to a car wash to get polished. but, with this car, ill put in the effort.

Ya it is a good price & especially cause you getting proper BMW BiXenons..

As for polishing, Meguairs have a 4 part system you can get it from Builders warehouse for like R200 (each item individually is like R80)

it has the soft wash gel, paint cleaner, polish, and then a wax. Does a decent job as well..

@Andrew - I will definitely do the bixenons, as well as the leds.

Ill also definitely get the Megs kit from builders warehouse. i want this car to glow.

@ Taffs - was great chatting to you on the phone. Im sure that when i do the bixenon conversion, the car will have corona lights (angel eyes in bmw terms).
