hey guys,

now you can add projectors to every light possible. just check out the projector you would like to install and the shroud that would suit it (and the car) and then let me know.

i also have a contact for OEM ballasts of the following types. so if your OEM one stops working, do go to the stealership and pay an arm, come to me.

What would be the best option to convert E90 halogens (dipped beam only). I've already got a H7 kit (which is not fitted yet, as I was looking for a projector). Would like the projector and shroud to be as close to OEM as possible. Please suggest a set.

Interesting... :)

and for the little spots/fog lights ?

i dont think projectors on the spots or fogs is a good idea. they are already so low and does not interfere with oncoming drivers vision. the projector will not help you much. i installed a set on my E90 LCI fogs and i did post the build progress.

what would be your reason for installing it here?

Was just a question :=):

But what i would like to look at is the my brights... got the xenons but the inner lights/brights are still those crappy yellow bulbs.. could this work in there and still look OEM ?

the E90 headlight is a bit difficult to take the lens out without doing some damage to it. if you are successful in doing this then the Z33 shroud should be fitted on a Morimoto H1 mini projector and will look close to stock. you may have to do some shroud modifications. hope this helps.

Bolt on HID projectors for the E36 available?

the Morimoto H1 mini projector is small and compact enought to fit inside alot of headlights. if you use the Z61 shroud with this projector it will fit. you may have to mod the shroud a bit.

do you actually get OEM non bi-xenon xenons?

normally when you have bi-xenons, the inners/brights are just flash to pass. when you click it forward, it opens the xenon.

if you want to use it brights, you will need to run a quad projector setup, with all 4 on for lowbeam, and 2 or 4 setup on bixenon.
you cannot flash on/off a xenon bulb

Thanks Kabal.. :)

funny enough the inner ones are normal bulbs that i use to flash people with but then i should maybe look at changing them to something white instead of that yellow :yuck:
correct when pushing it forward it opens high beam on the outer lights.

Maybe then just changing bulbs on the inner would look better ?

do you have the white angel eye or the OEM yellow ones?
you only drive with the angels and the xenon outers so as long as those are white then it looks good.

the only pure white bulbs that i know of that can be used on the brights is the LED ones. you can match the colour exactly with the xenons. the only problem is the light output. you do not get a good lux reading with LED so it will not be as bright as the halogen ones.

I have the white AE's yes. so at least all that looks good.
Maybe i should then behave and leave everything as it is now.

Thank you for your input bud

The face-lift E90 has a "dummy" looking light where older cars had their high beams..

only the low beam (outer) Xenon is there for flashing & lights & all & all

So it seems the newer ones are able to be used to flash whereas the older xenons took a bit longer to warm up

both e90 pre-facelift and the e90 LCI have bi-xenon projectors. The e90 pre-facelift has a halogen bulb for added brightness when you hit the brights. if you disconnect this bulb you can still flash guys.

the LCI has the angel eye bulb (H8) on the inners (where the pre-facelift bright halogen bulb is). you cannot flash with it. it comes on when you toggle the parks switch.

this kit will cost R700

I don't mind doing a bit of hack and slash to my lights if I need to, done so much of that on so many of my cars lights now its not a problem lol
