discussion Parents looking for a good SUV, advice for recommendations?

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a BMW 2016 320d Sport line (F30), incredibly happy with it, and Ive heard really good things about the engine going really far as well if you look after her.
Now my parents are looking at trading in their Fortuner, their current preferred budget is R500k-R600k, though they would prefer to stick in the lower end of that if they can. Im looking at suggesting an X series, since they want an SUV, unsure which ones are good to recommend? I know BMWs Diesel engines are typically loved, but Im not sure which X series are good?

G01 X3 xDrive20d. Same reliability as your F30.

In that budget it will be a 2018/19 model. Do your usual checks with Coisman etc.

What is the reason for getting rid of the Fortuner? Also, how much travelling do they intend to do and how much space do they need?
