hi all,

so its been long overdue that i start a thread for my new (old) car,

roughly around 2 months ago i bought an Alpine White E46 323ci Auto with 153 000kms on the clock. it has a grey leather interior which isn't my favourite, but not a deal breaker in the cars condition and mileage.
i recently sold my E39 530i Individual, i was looking for a 3 series again and needed some extra cash,
i feel like the same thing happened when i had my E39 540i Manual, i love e39's and they are great cars, but there's just something in my opinion in the feel, dynamics and connection that you get with the driving experience in comparison to the e46,
i replaced my 540i with my 330i, and now the 530i with the 323ci,

this is what it looked like when i got it around 2 months ago:

my first BMW after owning a few golfs and Nissan's was an E46 323ci, titan silver manual, and made me fall in love with the brand, and i have only owned BMW's since, now it seems like i have gone full circle and tried a few others that i liked, but am back to what i really want, i just love the coupe shape, i really like the rev happy m52 engine, and the e46's sporty and dynamic handling and drive.

i took a couple pics over the weekend now,
i like the locations, but the cellphone pic quality isnt really working for me, wish i had a camera:

so some of the changes, maintenance and mods i have done so far are:

firstly, my old 17" style 42 e39 fitment, 8j front et20 9j rear et26 wheels where fitted to replace the 16" style 42 e46 fitment wheels the car came with,
those are for sale if anyone wants them,
i love the e39 style 42's, even more so fitted to an e46 coupe

next was some maintenance:

oil
oil filter
oil filter housing gasket
valve cover gasket
Bosch spark plugs
coolant flush and fill up
steering angle sensor replace because the car went into limp mode
fuel filter

after that i fitted a set of almost new Falken tyres i bought from a forum member:
225/45/17 all round
i only get a very tiny bit of scraping up front with the style 42's, and only over bumps not cornering:

then after that,
i pulled off the once lens cover on my rear lights when i took my bag out the car, fixed that:

then next i replaced my Roundells with black and white ones i also bought from a forum member,
i plan on blacking out the trim around the windows as well as doing a 35% tint, so this should tie in nicely with the Roundells,
also the front grills, i dont want to paint them though as that gets stone chipped and looks bad, i would like to get actual black plastic,
i also plan on getting black ones for the wheels if anyone can point me in the right direction?
here's what they look like:

then a very unfortunate incident happened when i had only had the car for 2 weeks,
some of you may have noticed from the previous pictures that my passenger side mirror is missing,
my girlfriends neighbours son somehow kicked a ball over the wall in such a way that it took my whole side mirror out, was very unhappy about that, but it was an excuse to at least up grade while i get it fixed,
so i sourced a set of m3 side mirrors from a forum member at a very very good price,
i will be getting them sprayed and fitted very soon,\
in my opinion they look 1000x better then the standard coupe mirrors, so i cant wait to fit them, very nice visual mod,
here they are:

Beautiful car bud. The alpine white on an E46 coupe looks stunning. Further, I know this might be an unpopular opinion, and the whole different strokes for different folks story, but I think you should change the wheels back to the originals or have your current wheels painted in the original single tone colour. The car just looks so clean and classic with the 16", but maybe your 17's will look great too once back to original form.

Great pictures though, and hope you enjoy the car!

Now you need to swap out all grey interior parts out for black ones, else the black/grey/red/wood is going to look like a circus.

Thanks guys,
I quite like the black bases of the mirrors, something different, I think it will look good once the window trim is blacked and with a tint,

Going to get the wheels fitted today:rollsmile:
Then as soon as I have time get started on the interior
