Hi Everybody

This is my first post, glad to be apart of this community. I currently drive a E36 320i Convertible, imported from the UK.

This is my second BMW, my previous ride, was a E36 328i sedan.

Below is pictures of my car, took a picture of the dial clock as well, as it is marked down in miles per hour, and the fuel consumption in MPG. These pictures are also a bit old, as I have ordered myself a new roof and was installed last week, pics too follow soon.

Nice car and welcome.

Are there any other differences on this car compared to SA spec, except the engine size and dials?

Yes, there is one big one, between the SA and UK. No air con. Also other little things, like different interior light, clock and the heater dials.

After owning the car for a month, the alarm remote got dodgy. Drove to BMW, and they could not make a copy, as the UK security codes differ from SA. Got back to my car, and the alarm didn't want to work at all. BMW SA couldn't help, had to tow my car away, in front of the BMW garage, to a specialist.

Welcome to the forum .Nice ride

The UK spec cars were less luxury specced than the SA cars .I have some UK magazines with e36 tests and comments etc , pics also show interior differences .
As the UK does not have the differences in height like us here from the coast to the highveld and like certain areas in Europe theycould get away with lesser powered models .

Pics are welcome .
