Thanks guys, The car is stock the piggyback has been removed and as for the faults it's only giving catalytic fault and vanos fault.
as for the starter you can hear the solenoid kicking but it's as if the starter motor doesn't have enough to start the engine. Usually if you jump it with another battery the car starts.
I've replaced starter and battery with oem units, Changed the filters and oils.
any advice would be appreciated.
use lots of felt tape, zip lock bags, take photos....check 1addicts if there's a diy on removing the evaporator or getting through the dashSo seems the Vanos issue is better after reloading a new ecu version so I think its a calibration issue. Also found the vacuum hose leading to the actuator had a split in it. It would be modest to say that holy moly this thing moves now.
Made 230wkw and 510nm and then the clutch started slipping at around 4200 rpm. Think its safe to say I have to replace that with the 330D clutch and go back and see what it will do.
Need to also take my dash out to get the evaporator out, Anyone done this before?
Let's see some pics of the intakeGot the eccentric shaft and motor replaced, And also the clutch and rear main seal.
Car feels like its quite a bit lighter on fuel but I cant punch it yet as I have to bed in the clutch. Also added a BMS intake and cowl filters to the mix.
Next up will probably be this aircon and I want to do the braided brake lines I got along with rod bearings and a sump baffle.
Great upgrades but glad you found most of the issues. After some fault finding it appears my N75 boost solonoid has seen better days. Replace that and the car is making power alot smoother than before.
Landed a good deal on a coolboost V3 setup so I added that also. Definitely helps alot with heat soak.
Then lastly fitted the braided lines and some Motul RBF700 fluid.
Next up is H&R springs and trying to find a good intercooler and EWG turbo.
Some pics for fun.
