I received a phone call from Citton cars. They don't have pool cars and Since BMW is a prestige brand, they should provide the courtecy car.
They acknowledged my mail and wanted to reply, but the mail did not want to go through....

It seems like the agents are the weak link here in terms of fixing the problems. I know that the oil used these days allows for lengthy service intervals, but to me it's more an excuse for the agents to do the least in terms of maintaining a car over the motorplan period!!

Charging battery, as in the car battery or the key fobs? Also I see there is an entry regarding the steering, what was was that all about? Did they replace the electronic steering lock and steering column? Mine's still the old original type but typically is behaving.

Hope they sort these issue out this time around!! :thumbs:

Philip, the issues will be sorted - The drivers door actuator will work, the airconditioner will be cooling again and I will be the proud owner of a brand new set of earmuffs :thumbs:

I just typed what I could see from the report, So I am not sure what that steering thing is about.

It seems if you do not buy a car from BMW, you do not have the complete suite of benefits. I must phone up the call centre and hear if they can give me a tow from the Baufortwest...

If they can, then it is propably safe to travel the country under this motor plan.

I never received any form of contract with BMW iro the motor plan. I paid the cash and got a mail confirming it was re-instated.

Looks like you only get a courtesy car if you have a warrantee or you carry a gun :rollsmile:

If you don't buy fromBMW, then you don't get the perks.
The cars that end up @ 3rd party dealers are those that BMW refuse to sell...
Lesson learned - never buy from a 3rd party dealer again.
Rather save up and buy from a BMW dealer.

Hmm, my car was also not bought from a BMW dealership but the motorplan was already extended and the car had been inspected before the sale. Expires July next year!!! :fencelook:

Frikie, I know you a piecefull guy, but "gooi" a tantrum at the dealership. Call motorplan office directly and tell them the car has motorplan, and the dealership is refusing you a courtesy car.
Like Herr said, if they then wont give you a car, tell them to sort out Citton, and stage a sit-in at the dealership untill you get what you want.

As per our little teleconference with BMW call centre, I dont have the perks, as mentioned previoiusly, because I bought from Citton cars.
I just want the issues fixed now. At least they dropped me off at my place of work.
Let's see if they are willing to pick me up again.

At this point, the least frustration is the way to go - as long as they get your car fixed up.

Yep - I got a ride back home too. Thankfully so.
According to the SA, the tech locked himself in the car an could not get out, but using the passenger door. The driver door actuator was instantly replaced :roflol:
Tomorrow will probably be National e90 engine day :thumbs:

On Wednesday morning I could suddenly open the door from the inside, but the central locking did not function for the drivers door. With his luck apparently it got stuck again. How regular do they update you on what the status is?
This is just out of curiosity. They can keep that sh1t until they turned it into a BMW :joy:

The car is ready for collection, but I told them tomorrow morning. :joy::thinking:
Nothing wrong with the AC system.
Cooling system preassure tested all ok - Leak splatter must be from the Moon.
Engine ticking - The engine sounds normal - no anomalies found :fencelook:
Engine oil was replaced according to the service history.
Squeeky suspension - No fault found :nonono:

Looks like I have a radio active imagination :thinking::thinking::thinking:
