Hey guys the names Yaseen and I'm an active member on the e30 forum but feel the need to just visit this place more often. I'm 24, a mathematics teacher by profession and love old pupa doolie bmws.
OK so I bought the car in the August of 2014 with about 302000kms (high I know) but I bought it because the first owner, and only owner before me was a 54 year old white lady from Pretoria. Paid R35 000.
Now here's why I feel I was lucky
The car came with a full service history and it was near mint for its age. It's no showroom car but I've seen some crappy cars for that money during my search.
The car is a 320i and was bolt standard the day I fetched it.
Car has blue leather interior
Powersteering
Electric windows
Slightly Cracked dashboard so what lol
Since I've got the car I've done the following quick upgrades to get rid of the aunties Red door scent and style.
Started with replacing the fog lamps, perspex numberplates and a new voltage regulator. I drove it that way for a while and then got a rear blind, had my lights rebuilt as a set of smileys and it stayed exciting as a daily. Oh yes and I fitted an e28 m5 replica spoiler and painted it so that it has a rubber idea going on... Ok it's a fake but I like it. A lot.
Eventually I dropped the car with crappy koenic Springs (seeing I now rarely drive it it doesn't matter). Car sat so low when I dropped it and it had standard bottlecaps I loved it. Eventually when money allowed, I got a three spoke mtech 1 steering, fitted rear headrests and the need for new wheels kept growing. I was unsure of what to get as it had to be oem and I set my heart on style 5 wheels. Then I had the idea that I wanted the same look but I needed a bigger wheel and had a set of custom bottlecaps made for the car.
Oh yes, in the first year I also got myself a full stainless steel powerflow exhaust system and I still need to fit the brospeed branches to the car they're sitting in storage as I'm unsure of the route I'm taking and don't wanna fit it just yet. I intend doing a 2.5 stroker so that the car maintains its engine number and stuff and work will be carried out by Samspeed. But my need for speed is great at the moment
Pics will come in bits and pieces so forgive me but I'm updating it and I'm new to this forum so I dunno if it's the same story lol.
Future plans also include respraying the lower valance and colour coding the bumpers as well as getting HIDs all over the place. Also need to get rid of the hail damage which is minor but... Its. My wife so the slight cellulite bothers me and the gym calls.
I recently purchased a Polo tsi and it means the bmw is really a hobby now as I can't afford work unless I save. Before this I went nuts lol.
Enjoy guys
