Small update gents, I am looking to sell the M20 motor in favour of a more modern M50 setup.

Very excited and hope I can find a buyer timeously for the M20.

So when stripping the motor this weekend we discovered that none of what was promised was infact inside the motor.

I was told it had a 2.7 unskimmed head, E36 328i crank conrods and pistons (which would make it a 2.8 litre).

It infact has a reground M20B25 crank and stock 325i pistons with E36 325i rods and a skimmed 2.5 litre head and the motor isnt in great shape.

Cambelt is tired, needs a head gasket and rings are worn.

So much for the motor having had a rebuild....

Only new gasket on the car is the tappet cover gasket.

Stunning car, pity about the engine. Guess you going to go the whole hog and return her to original state? You may need a big budget though, so good luck. I remember when these cars came out, they were the dog's balls. Awesome cars! :thumbs:

Got a new motor for this car:

325is Pistons, conrods and crank-Balanced
T4 Ceramic coated
Microtech managment
Big injectors
Worked head
External wastegate

Going for 300+ wkw.

Now i can EAT MOST1TEDS KO48 or what ever $hit he has now and show him how a real turbo car goes.

When I was in high school my father owned a 325i, which was an absolute pleasure to drive. We always managed to really enjoy all our trips... nothing like driving in a spirited fashion with the old man.

Looking forward to seeing the end product!
