As we all like pics, thought I'd start with the first pic I got of the car.
Picked it up on Saturday after a looooooong 3 month wait while she was being made in Germany. Having two M cars as dailies wasn't the most sensible choice and I feel I'm "wasting" the cars potential driving them daily. Would rather enjoy on a weekend open road drive.
So I thought a little i10 or something would be fine for day to day crap. Anyways a few weeks later, its come down the Audi S3, Golf R or M140i. BMW was the very easy choice for me. The Audi and Golf just lacked the excitement of the BMW.
Done 600kms so far and can't wait to reach 2000 km so I can really start playing.
I ticked nearly every box except driving assist and leather seats. The tech in these new cars is really something and I'm enjoying how easy everything is. :ty:

Very nice. Congrats bud.

The seat looks good with the two different fabric/materials.

Why didn't you opt for leather seats?

Lovely, personally I'd also prefer cloth seats over leather if I had a choice. It just feels better.

Congrats bud, what a car! Wish you many miles of smiles

Any plans for mods, be it cosmetic or mechanical?

Just goes to show that variety is the spice of life.. I personally can't stand cloth seats, because of the texture/feeling. :fencelook:

Thanks guys, really enjoying it. Trying to keep revs below 4000 for first 2000km is taking lots of self control.
Personally I prefer the look and feel of the cloth seats. Only downside is I'm sure they will show dirt easier, but I've got some good fabric protector. Alcantara is also meant to be harder to maintain, but hey it looks good.
No plans to mod just yet, but I'm sure a few mods in the future. Not going to do anything to risk losing MP. That was a big factor in getting a new car, for peace of mind. That said, I will upgrade a cross brace under the chassis, hopefully some rims with a bit of concave if possible and maybe exhaust. To be honest I'm quite enjoying a quite car for now though.
These new 8 speed ZF auto boxes are amazing, feels like the biggest leap forward. Its pretty much always in the right gear, super smooth and I'm sure the gear ratios help massively with fuel economy.

You should get a nano coat for the fabric. Its made by gyeon IRC and really helps a lot by preventing liquids from seeping in.
