The new wheel looks good. Is it same size as the original or smaller? From the pic it looks smaller

it's the same size, but it is 2.5mm thicker, so that probably makes it look smaller

new wheel looks great :)

are you going SS on the lines now?

car already has SS lines front and rear. so the rears will be changed to standard items for the time being, I need my car next week, and the turnaround for replacement SS rear lines is too long.

so I finally completed my hid projector retrofit.

took about a week, but I did very little each day.

my car "unfortunately" has depo headlights (guess thats the price you pay to have perfect glass), so the process is a little different to how you would do bosch's.

on the bosch headlights, it has a bracket, and the entire halogen projector slips through this bracket. this makes doing a retrofit much easier, and you can use a different shroud.

in the depo's, the halogen projector bowl connects to the bracket, and the bracket is the shroud, and it also houses the lense.

fortunately the "tube" that holds the lense is the same size as the morimoto mini h1. this means that you can push the projector through, and use that as the mount (you also do have to demel away quite a bit of the back of the housing so the projector can fit. I then fabbed custom brackets that connect the projector to where the old bowl would connect, for extra securing.

I might at some stage try find some bosch headlights, with decent glass, and redo this. I would also much rather use the E55 type shroud, instead of the E46 shroud, which I dont think suits this style of headlight.

also gave the indicator bulbs a shot of silver paint while they were out. must also pick up another set of corners, open them up, and spray them a bit darker inside, they are quick contrasted now with the white vs the black

ps: how do you edit the thread title? I can see it has edited for this post, but how are guys making the original title eg "updated on page 3"?

haha, nice spot. I actually bent the tines on that fork 90 degree, to use as a puller tool to remove the cap that is on the projector housing.

That is great work

Any plans for bi xenons in the future?

I was thinking about it, but I dont really trust those cheap chinese electrical components, and have read some stories about the solanoid getting stuck. and then you need to remove / disassemble the headlights to get the shield to pop back up.

I think you mean quad xenons.

These projectors are already bi xenon

I mean low and high beam coming from the same bulb, rendering the inner full beam bulb (yellow) redundant.

Doesn't quad mean the inner also becomes a xenon light?

Yes quad means inner becomes a projector too.

But these projectors are bi xenon ones anyways
