Hi guys,

So a further update from where I last left the thread, I have managed to complete the ffg since:
Plastidipped the grills, its also lasting pretty well with no signs wear,
Plastidipped the steering surrounds with good success..
Managed to get a sunroof shade from EMI auto parts in matching anthracite material,
Cured the leaking power steering pipe,
The strut brace and I-simple iPod connector is in the mail and will arrive in the next week...
The smoked fog lights are on and looking awesome!

Then last week I attended the rally cross dyno day and put the car onto the rollers, I was like the 4th car on and it ran just before MSM with his 330D in the scorching heat, I honestly didn't want to run it in the plethora of turbo cars that were expected... The car made a respectable 145kw at the wheels which left me pretty chuffed for a stock car...one thing that the chap said to me was that he ended the run at just over 6000rpm, so the is slightly more in it, I don't mind, that's just a bonus...

Here is the video and the pic of the dyno...[video=youtube]

Was quite surprised at how flat the torque curve was...

That's me for now...

Thanks Phillip... :thumbs:

Just a bit of info regarding the strut brace and iPod dock I mentioned in another post, the strut brace fitted almost without any drama and looks good.. It was purely for aesthetics that I got it, Bling bling...

The I-simple iPod dock was a my first bad purchase in almost 5years of buying on eBay, the unit seems to be a dud and will be posted back for a return next week, will probably use the second option of a cable that goes into the back of the headunit..

Thanks for reading..

Ps. I don't know why some of the pics came out so grainy..

ok so a bit of an update, had a few things to take care of at my mechanic,
@153 000kms
new bosch starter, the old one would sometimes not fully engage and spin freely,
new serpentine belt and a/c belt, tensioners all checked in as good to go..

Thanks Guys, ok so an update of what i did on the car since i got her,

full service: 144 000km
* Oil and Filter change-shell Helix HX7 synthetic
* 6 spark plugs- Bosch spec as per real oem (4prong design) BKR6EP8
* airfilter
* replaced number 5 coil with new from bosch due to sporadic fault code, Code is gone
*replaced front brake discs and pads with ATE replacements,new sensor as well, sprayed calipers black while i was at it
* fuel filter (done a week later as i thought bmw were supposed to have changed it at inspection 2 but this one still had the yellow paint markings on the pipes from when it left the factory, filter must be collapsed inside as the 20hp that left the car before i got it came back with a veangance, leaves me with the need to inspect the fuel pump as well for piece of mind)
*removed the lower cats on the exhaust as it was easier to access and still havent decided on headers or gutting the existing cats on the top.

145000km:
* replaced Vanos Seals with Beisian Kit, old seals were very hard and and piston moved inside the cylinder very easily, 4.5hour job to complete.
* replaced tappet cover gasket during the above job,
* replaced front tyres with 2 x 225/45/17 Falkens excellent tyre over last 1500 odd kms, good price as well @710 a piece
*replaced rear tyres with 255/40/17 nankang i got for a steal on gumtree,

146000km:
* replaced the pirate headlight that was fitted on the left front with a genuine one from Gizmo,
* installed the LED angel eyes from Vsomai and LED parklights
*fitted super white bulbs on the lower fogs, dipped beam and main beam. NB. no HIDS as i cant get projectors

Further work completed in the mileage till current: 163000kms
*plastidipped the steering surrounds with good success..
*Managed to get a sunroof shade from EMI auto parts in matching anthracite material,
*Cured the leaking power steering pipe and replaced the power steering pump
*replaced stock headers with catless ones from e46 328i. Best mod I did.
*replaced the Bosch starter with new unit from Diesal electric
*replaced alternator with Bosch unit, got replacement from buddy stripping e46 Valeo unit is kept as spare.
*Replaced all tensioner pulleys and deflection pulley and new serpentine belt at the same time.
*replaced power steering pulley-Bakerlite material it had a small chip on the corner.
* Plastidip the kidney grills and its still gong strong...
* changed the msport gearknob with a new one from the forum.
* upper strut bar fitted.

TO be Done: (next 2 months)
* spray and install the hamman style roof spoiler (labour for the job is mad as well as someone who can spray the 2 tone paint on) :cry:
* a set of rubber mats to fit the interior (hens bloody teeth i tell you!)

wishlist: i probably would have sold the by the time i do this
* TMS reduction pulleys
* camshafts
* remap

will keep updating as further changes occur...

Mr Kish Buddy.

Gotta say. Your car looked beautiful with your 17s on. But that 18 on that car. Is a work of art. Stunning man.

GLWS.
