Looking Tops bud!:praise:, please tell me about the magnetic plates mod?...
We fitted 3 magnets behind the front bumper and 3 on the plate.

For the rear, it depends if your boot is steel or if if the plates goes on the bumper which is plastic. If it's steel, then you only need to stick 2 on the plates.

You can contact me if you need the magnets.

Trusty to be told...kish brought this to our attention in early 2016, bit never got down to getting it done. I also recall you saying you did magnets on your rear plates. So yeah you guys are responsible....but I wanted the front done mainly

I couldn't bring myself to drilling holes in my freshly painted bumper on my first E36 and tried the neodymium magnet route which worked well and have been using the method ever since. My current E36 is still rocking them.

What did you use to fix the magnets to the plate? I glued mine using epoxy quickset clear but if you are able to get broad flat neodymium magnets then you can use "servo tape" from an RC car/plane shop to fix the magnets into place, it's a thin black double sided tape that really really sticks well to smooth flat surfaces.

Yes the magnets we using are roughly 3cm wide. We used extremely thin 3m tape w
is used on securing carbon bits to the car.

So far so good.

So I've been itching to add a machine to my detailing arsenal for quote some time and pulled the trigger with the December bonus. I've used for quite a few things on the cars including show plates and the results are outstanding.

The machine purchased is the Ibrid Nano and allows you to tackle the smaller areas of a car much more precisely and has the added benefit of being used wirelessly as well.

First up was to give a bash on the 1ers tailights. Since fitment that's has swirls looked a bit dull. This was the perfect opportunity to give it a whirl.

Application was extremely simple and the machine spreads the product easily.

Firi where can I get a set of headlights like the ones you fitted on your SO's car? Cars looking great!
Current headlights are customised. I took a set of own headlights and had my way with them

I do have a set of these, my old headlights I can assist with.

If anyone isn’t interested in buying these , I wouldn’t mind . Also would prefer the facelift tail lights for the e82 to go along with it

MOOOORE UPDATES!!!!......:smilebounce::smilebounce::smilebounce:

So since fitting the new headlights, I haven't attempted to refurb the lenses, and after getting the tail lights lenses sorted I decided to give them a bash.

Next up was to start getting the sound sorted on the 1 series. We dont listen to music, but since the purchase of the car, something just wasn't right. The front speakers were distorting and the the sound was just uneven. I did remove a sub and amp from the car, so I knew wiring was probably going need to be redone.

I decided to upgrade the head unit one time, and opted for android double din with GPS. Trim plate was also sourced and the headunit and trim plate was install by Auto Xessorise our form advertiser.

I completely forgot about steering controls and PDC when ordering and installing and only after it was complete, did I realise my mistake. Had to have more downtime whilst these were on back order and got them done as well.

The steering controls is still proving to be issue even though i have the correct harness and the radio caters for it, so I will have to work on that to see what the way around it. PDC and warning of the car are working fine, however the sound is provided by some slapgat speaker that was provided with the harness that connects to the oem wiring. Ill be looking into getting this changed or connected to main speakers with Spiro. Front Speakers were replaced with 4 " JBLs & I understand the previous owner installed SPL 4" at the rear.

I decided to install an Amp as well and opted with an infinity amp which will be able to drive the underseat subs which I want to do with Spiro as well.

Attached here are the pics of the items used.
