Hi guys.
Update time....
The stock headlights were also really bothering me as they were halogens.
Spoke to Gert about upgrading to Xenons, but the cost factor as well the uncertainty of whether or not they would work 100% put us of that idea for now. Option 3 was sending them away and getting the entire headlight redone with quad projectors etc, but also fell on my back when the quote came through.
Just then a supplier of mines brought in some e82 aftermarket headlights and asked me if I wanted to try out a pair. Brought them to my business and did some tests and they looked decent. Was very unsure as to how they would look on the car, as they don't look oem...(but then again my 335 is the furthest thing away from oem as well) [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]
Here's some pics of the lights off the car.
Before fitting, I already knew I wanted to get better lighting then the current h7 phillips globes I was using. Called Muhammed from Autoxessorise and he advised of the new phillips LED globes. I sent him the headlights and he fitted them along with some phillip LED indicators and LED park light globes.
Next up was to test if they really are plug and play and to check no errors are thrown when they on.
Everything working fine, below is a pic of how well they throw light, this was at 5pm in the evening.
After everything was done there, then come in the OCD and the need to neaten up everything.
First step was to positap power for the angel eyes. Tested all wires and decided to draw the power from the park lights. Posi taps are really so damn easy to work with, absolutely love them.
Second step was to neaten then wires...this is what I was dealing with.
After
All done and ready. Car was dropped off at Naeem to fit the headlights and refit the bumper properly. As always his accommodating and work is excellent.
Now with the lights fitted it does look much better but the only thing throwing me off is the indicators. Oem is frosted by the indicators, whereas this is crystal, so it's makes it look a little off. I'll wait to see if it grows on me, if not I'll either sell them off or just blackout the indicators.
Pics from last week's breakfast run
Thanks for looking.
