In an effort to keep my 335 is the best possible condition, cosmetically and mechanically, we constantly searching for things to improve on.
In 2017 I purchased a secondary OCC kit for the car, and never got down to fitting it.
In 2015 I fitted the primary occ and pcv valve, but that only catches blow by oil which is captured on wide open throttle.
The secondary occ is now a second Oil catch which is fitted to capture oil from the low load and just normal cruising. There's 2 way on connecting, one involves tapping and drilling holes into the head just by the intake valves, which I'm not confident enough to get done. The objective is to reduce as much oil and carbon buildup as well in the valves.
The install is pretty simple and will take around an hour or 2. Mounted the second can on the cold side of the engine bay so it's easier to remove and clean.
1st test was to see how much oil is collected over a long distance drive to KZN.
Did a 1500KM over the 10 days and when I got home decided to open it up and see whether it's working or not.
Glad to report that the setup is definately working. I didn't measure it, but I'd gauge around 100ml worth of oil collected. Glad to report it's not any funky milky colours.
