Unfortunately would never be able to dedicate time/travel on the weekend for washing the car, but would be prepared to pay a premium for the service as described. Would gladly pay R200 per wash, but it would have to be a mobile service of some kind, or situated somewhere where I can go do something else while the car is getting washed.

Although i would pay if you would be able to provide the service at a mall etc...
I'm sure you can arrange a secluded/convenient parking bay with Sandton City for example that would have drainage etc...
I would book and would be more than happy to use a service like that on a Saturday or Sunday... :rollsmile:

There is something similar to this in Durban called Cars, Combovers & Coffee. They seem to have it spot on. Would love it if you guys offer something like this but also travelling from Pretoria just for a wash seems a bit far fetched. Regarding prices, The car wash i use charges R95 plus you still tend to tip the guy another R10-R20 so it takes the price to around R115.

Dazzle car wash in east rand by the news cafe on northrand road does this, 85 interior and exterior and then add on treatments at certain price no foam no buckets high steam cleaning and 3 stage buffing polish

So you've had your car detailed, and now what? Washing it by yourself can be a pain as what should take one hour suddenly becomes an all day affair. You'd like to take it to someone else, but a carwash doesn't quite cut the grade.
Before we begin engaging, I'm not simply suggesting hauling out two buckets and a foam cannon. I'm talking about a bespoke service offering two bucket method washing, individual cloth / mitt sets per car, finishing the interior and exterior surfaces with high quality, branded products. Adding to that, refinishing with quick detailer, top up layering for wax / sealant, proper decontamination, polishing and sealing exhaust tips and topping up of wheel waxes and using products tailored for those cars sporting ceramic coatings.

Love the idea as I've been wanting something like this. Basically just a "stress free car wash" that you don't have to do yourself. Essentially just someone you can trust enough that they aren't going to put more blemishes on your car etc (like picking up a dropped sponge and then proceeding to go over the entire car with it!).
I am lazy, even with this kinda option I would probably end up only doing it once every month or so. I'd definitely be willing to pay between 100 and 200 for what you describe.
It's nicer if there's like a shopping center or something close by (walking distance), rather than just chowing a packet of chips and a coke while watching your car get washed.
As for a recurring spot, no I wouldn't because I never plan that far in advance. I would buy a package though of 5-10 washes and be happy to book a day or two ahead of time (online is best).

Would definitely make use of the service. Tired of my cars being damaged by people who have no idea how run a car wash. Happy to pay a premium of between R150 and R200. Happy to pay upfront for 4 washes per month. Only hassle would be going all the way to Strydom Park. Using JSN's facilities on a Saturday would be ideal

Fuzz, I need something like this. My schedule over the last couple of months doesn't allow me to wash my car myself every week or 2 and there's only 1 car wash I would trust touching my car but they too far so as a result I drive around with a dirty car until I'm able to do it which is once a month at the moment.
I would gladly pay a higher than usual price compared to the generic car wash if I knew it was being treated properly.

Interesting, where or who is your East Rand partner?
I also prefer in and out quick thing as life is busy with your own business and kids/family etc.
I prefer watching my car being washed and actually don't let anyone drive it, especially because my GTI 5 was stolen in 2009 from the car wash at the dealership while in for a service!!
If it's close enough I would go as often as I need the car to be cleaned!!

There was a guy in Bloem when I worked there that offered a similar service. He also had a butchery on the spot, and a small shop. So you can pull up, place the order for your car wash and order some braai, and a cooldink and hang out till your car is done.
He was always busy.
So if you can have your guys' superior wash service, and add a nice vibe to it, where fanatics can gather, you will have a winning recipe.
Don't mind the location, start out at your premises you already have, start with the people who is close to you, you can always branch out.
Getting proper service from car washes is near non-existent these days, hence I will rather wash my car less often as I would like to, then to take it to a car wash, if I don't have time to wash it myself, the proper way.
