Good evening guys,

I need some advice on tyre choices for my F80 M3. Currently running with Michelins, but looking at the Conti Sport Contact 7 as an option. What is your experiences/reviews of the Contis?

Thanks!!!

Michelin is noted for being the best bud so best stick with that. Moving to Contis will be a downgrade.

Have you considered Pirelli? I've heard good things about their P Zero range for performance cars. Might be another option to look into.

Would definitely never recommend Pirelli, the tyre life and lack of grip is shocking in comparison to Michelin/Conti/Goodyear/Bridgestone.

Stick with Michelins , if you really want to try something else stay with Michelins and go with PS4S or PS5, i think the F80s came with PSS.

confusing but they all different tyres

This post reminded me of the dude that was looking for cheap tires for a race that night and he wrecked his F80. I hope he is doing well. Its been a while since that hectic crash.

Ditto!

1) Michelin PS4S, PS5, Cup 2
2) Conti SC 7, prior models are inferior to 7
3) Goodyear F1 SS or AS5/6 or similar

Not too familiar with. Bridgestone, not too many complaints. I see some folk also tried Falkens

Michelins it is!

I have Bridgestone Potenza Sports on the M3 and they are very good, I'd say pretty much on par with PS4S/PS5.

I want to know where you heard they were good for performance cars :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The only Pirellis that are worth a look are Corsas and Trofeos and they also wear a lot more relative to performance on offer... so even then you are better off with a Pilot Sport Cup 2/2R or an Eagle F1 Supersport Rs or Potenza RE71RS.

The last time I had P Zeros, I changed them at around 5000km (as in less than 5000km on the actual car) because they were absolute DOGSHIT. In fact that is an insult to dogshit because that will still stick to your shoes. There is an extremely narrow window of time and mileage where they are even functional as basic tyres... as in just feeling safe to get you from A to B - not on a track or racing etc. *Also Most tests are also only done in that very narrow window where they are basically brand new.

Pilot sports, Potenza Sports and, size-dependent, the Eagle F1 Supercar/Supersport (though the sizes are never available when I need them) are all worth a look. Bridgestone has upped its game in terms of availability locally. I have heard nothing but praise for the Potenza sports, especially for the money.
