Hi guys, im thinking of putting an MSport kit on my E90 pre-LCI. Has anyone got a rough estimate of how much the front and back bumpers will cost me?

I was looking recently and saw some for about R4k each, not in great condition - they will have to be painted.

I can't remember if the front was with trim or without, I think it was just a plain bumper.

You'll probably need about R10k excluding paint if I were to hazard a guess, still not sure if it will fit everywhere as in if the wheel arch trim is the same, you might need a little drilling here and there.

As mentioned just doing bumpers will make the car look mixed up.

You'll need side skirts as well, suspension and mags are different, beading around mirrors and windows is gloss black, seats are different, steering wheel, door sills, gear knob, headliner etc. is black, there is a lot that goes into making it M Sport.

i agree with the above posts,

as @osiris and i have learned, its super expensive to retrofit MSport anything the correct way, alot more goes into than anticipated,
if you want MSport, then sell up and buy the MSport version of what you looking for. it will just save you the hassle in the long run.

And like it was said above, if you see a base model with MSport bumpers, the assumption is accident damaged.

Not by any means saying you cant or shouldn't do it, if you want to, then go ahead my man, but coming from experience many members know the cost it takes to do the job correctly, anything less than that, will hurt resale value, makes the car look sh!t.

Thanks for the above information guys. I am happy with the stock look, honestly. I still find it an absolute stunner to look at but my instragram feed is covered in MSport e90's lately and it caught my eye. Apprciate the guidance boys 🤙

I agree with the comments above. Thought I will share with you what I did with my ex e90. When I bought it budget did not allow for a msport 320d so I did what I could to make it look unique.

Yea to do it properly like I did with my Z4 35i, It cost me many many thousands! and lots of searching and waiting and lots of ordering of parts you didn't know existed from BMW. It's never a case of just buying a Msport bumper and putting it on. There is lots of other stuff, air ducts, frame sliders etc that you end up needing and they cost allot! Then once you have the bumpers then you need the Msport seats, and then the Msport steering wheel and side sills, and side skirts if they different. then suspension and springs. all the little differences you find, it never ends

My car was the bumpers, side sills. I already had the suspension from factory and the seats are Msport already, Side skirts are the same on both versions and then I needed the steering wheel. The E90 wont be as easy and that cost me a bucket load.
