I have not done a post recently on an E46M3 however thought this particular car worthy of your attention as it is a daily driven one owner car.
The scope of work is predominantly doing engine conservation and getting peace of mind.

This is a pre face lift car.

Belly pan cracked which I shall get repaired.

Power steering hose leaking through the rubber pretty much normal on the M3

Reservoir overflow hose cracked and leaking. I think this was pretty close to breaking and leaving the owner stranded if not horribly overheated.20260604_083625.jpg20260604_090042.jpg
Engine colour correct for the distance traveled and an empathetic driver. I am accustomed to seeing them much darker than this.

New bearing installed.
As this is an early car the same conrod bolts are used as per BMW TIS.
Important that bolts are relocated from where they were removed.
In addition unlike the new 10mm bolts on face lift cars these are tightened only once.
5Nm 30Nm and then 70 degrees.
The 70 degrees is equivalent to 125Nm whereas the face lifts only reach 90Nm after the third tightening sequence20260615_132645.jpg20260615_140926.jpg
