Starting to ride with in ear headphones, I ride with ear plugs most the time. So I thought I would test the music "plugs" out.

Does the same job if the volume is set right (the "sound reduction" is the same as the plugs) which is great. I then thought about creating a not cost mount for my dirty cheap mp3 player. This way I would be able to adjust volume etc. and then the mp3 won't be "adjusted" by pocket movements.

The mount is made of sticky foam tape, two cable ties, one small clamp and the adjustment buckle of backpack strap. The mp3 has a press clamp which then clips over the clamp. Now I just need to get use to the buttons while wearing gloves.

The e46 got some much needed attention yesterday.

Removed the peeling plastidip on the front bumper, sprayed all the wheels, the kidneys and the front badge gloss black. Also gave it a decent polish. One of the most annoying things one the car was the right hand inner angel run was not sitting right, it is adjusted as well.

I did the badge black cause the carbon was faded and crap. I am not going to buy another set, and I not going pay 1700 for bmw ones. Either way I rate looks o.k.

The GF got me a Bluedio Camel Ci3 Bluetooth headset(she was nudged and hints where dropped :faceplam:).

I drove home with them "in my ears" did not really in stay place due to their size. So if fiddled a bit and they are nou mounted(with no adhesive anything) on the inside of the helmet, right next to my ears. I can now take calls but I must stop(or low speeds) when doing this, wind noise is to hectic. The gf said she can hear me when I speak clear enough. And it plays music.

If someone calls I just open the visor press the button, then once the call ends the music plays again.

I am proper chuffed with the results. These where on special @399 - end result is I have Bluetooth communication at a 1/5 of the price of the devices purposely built to do this.

The KTM came back from it's 8500km service today, felt so good I just had to go for a ride out of the city. Ride out to Olifants Nek near Rustenburg. 195km on 7.8l, not bad.

To this opportunity to see how long the bluetooth earphones would last, was about 111minutes(the bike as ride timer, which used to check the play time with).
