Would like to have a look at those plastic bits, there's a few detailing products I would try before painting.

I have given up on the trying to revive the plastic bits, the sun just destroys it. Never ending battle :argh:

Maintenance update:

Driving home yesterday, in the Westrand after that lekker storm was :argh:.

The traffic was super crap (took 2 hours to get home, that 23km's). So there I am just chilling and all of a sudden I heard this noise. Turn down the radio listen again turn the steering wheel and there it is again but it is getting worse. POWER STEERING PUMP :argh:, turn the wheel a few time to make double sure. Parked the car opened the bonnet open the power steering reservoir EMPTY. Walked to the Midas across the street. Bought some AFT filled it up turn the steering wheel a few times, have look again all gone. get on my hands and knees can see the AFT dripping out underneath the car. Go buy some more ATF decide to drive home and see what happens. Anyway after a lot of cursing I got to the power steering pump. TUBE NUT:argh:. I have know idea how that nut came lose. The tube nut underneath the power steering pump came lose and that is where the leak was.

It is all sorted now, hopefully it won't come lose again.

Any ideas why it happened ?

I replaced the pump earlier this year almost 4/5 months ago. I always check for any leaks on the ground etc. where I park . I have not seen a single leak before yesterday.

I tightened it has much it could. Hopefully it stay vas this now.

Bought Xenon OEM Headlights from Gizmo in the week got them fitted today, took some quick pics to show the results.

I was skeptical as whether the Xenon's would really make a massive difference, my conclusion is that lights seems "cleaner" and there less "blind spots". Overall very happy with the results and it looks pretty good as well.

+1 I was asked by one of my friends why I would want to buy an older BMW (E39) when for the same money I could get a newer small hatchback...

I nearly klapped him over the head with a brick

And because the "old" BMW won't have dashboard rattles, like these new small hatches.

And because God Forbid I'm in an accident the BMW is going to more than likely protect me far better than a small hatch :fencelook:

This is true, nevertheless I'm pretty sure it'll handle an accident better than a Chevy Spark :fencelook:
