DB, that right there is proof that you are in it for the win. Your 325 is tops Dude.

Drove the Z4 after I gave it a wash today, brakes feel like they were made from wood.... I'll have to give it another bleed, but might have to change pads

Thanks for storing my car for the past week Herman, and for the use of your tools. :ty:

Lately because I don't drive the car everyday every time I get I into it, I really enjoy the stiff feeling the car has.

Some pics of the left front, the wheel that took the most strain(swapped the front and rears while changing the pads).

When driving down I was thinking the same, it is nice that the car can do this.
The previous weekend it was doing 22.5l/100km and did 138km doing that and then this weekend it did 8.3l/100km and did just under 1150km.

But it not all smooth sailing, there is small vibration on at highway speeds - before even tracking the car. Tire guys told that it is most probably the tires. These did have plenty of life in them as I did buy hard compound long lasting tires. Before Midvaal they where still fine(except for the vibration) but Midvall kinda murder the tires & the brakes.

I am now at the point where I need to seriously figure out how much of track I want it to be, also the economy of the whole story makes more sense once you have experienced it yourself, even when trying to do it "cheaply" it is still an expensive hobby.

Also the left front fog light has died :roflol:

Once you source a set of track wheels and allocate budget for brakes i think you will be better off, but I see your predicament.

Nice shots.

It getting chilly in the am now, hands froze a little this morning.

It is getting chilly, I am using my BMW mobility kit's gloves as an inner for the bike now. Works nice - I have not yet used my winter inners in the jacket & pants

00:15 and I have just finished a small service on the BMW.

New power steering reservoir lid o-ring-hope it sorts that problem out.
Fresh oil and new filter.
Coolant flush - never got round to doing a proper one after the pump went - there was still small debris that came out of the system.
Replaced the fog lamp - the left wheel well cover seems to have been knocked by something - had to bend the plastics a bit by everything is back in placed and screwed down.
New cabin filter.
And got brake pad sensor for the front - the pervious one fell out of the pad seat and got stuck between then disc and carrier bits. This time round I used a bit of wire to act as a spacer just make sure the fit is tight.

Tomorrow I will take it for a wash, then it will be ready for its trip down to Durban next weekend.

I got two second hand conti's to replace the rubber that was damaged by the during the Midvaal track day- the fronts took some hectic strain that day. So the "new" tires are on the back now.
