Hi gents and ladies,

Instead of reviving a 2017 thread I found, I thought I’d start a new one.

I’ve been having this issue with my break lights for quite some time now.
Been replacing globes so much, I can do it in my sleep.

The last change was about two weeks ago, I got globes from Midas as I thought it’s the ones that GW sell that are not up to standard. I cleaned the connectors out with electrical spray too, but here I am again with the same two errors…. This finally after getting rid of cc-ID379 (Angel Eye left globe)

Help please.

You seem to be having a lot of electrical issues with your car, are you sure it doesn't have water damage somewhere?

Seems to me there must be damage to the FRM module or the wiring loom that is causing either a bad connection or spike in voltage.

Just a thought.

hmm, actually something to think about now.
But, it's only the two rear globes that are fused (keep fusing) and the airbag error I've got at the moment.
Maybe I should take the car to be scanned somewhere?

Update on the above thread.
I do not trust GW bulbs, but the last time I replaced bulbs though was in December 2024. Bought them at Autozone and have not had this brake light bulb issue ever since.

WRT the airbag light, a friend that owns Keys 4 Cars in Lens scanned my car for errors. He cleared all the faults and since then, the airbag light has disappeared.

Cheap bulbs cannot maintain the required voltages in the circuit. Your modules constantly monitor voltages and when the voltage through the circuit is out of parameter, it will throw errors.

I have learnt to avoid buying the cheap bulbs (theyre cheap because of often low QC and inferior manufacturing materials/methods). Im not saying everything cheap is shit and vice versa obviously, but with bulbs, you get what you pay for with Philips/Osram etc vs Xiaofeng-eng Light company.

Weak grounds is another common issue, easy to check if youre prepared to put in the work.

Finally, ageing battery can also cause similar issues, people think a car battery is a lifetime purchase. Its not.
