BMW Paint Touch Up Pens

Hey guys. So I'm planning on sending my Mineral Grey M140i for a detail and ceramic coating next month, however there are a few stone chips on the bonnet and bumper that I would like to get covered up before I send it off for the ceramic coating.

My detailer said I should rather get the paint and he can cover up the chips for me before he does the detail and coating so that he can get everything looking good at once.

Does anyone know if the BMW dealerships sell paint touch up pens? Alternatively I have seen Dr ColorChip does have a kit for my color and wanted to know if anyone has used their kits before?

Thanks in advance

Id rther get a small bottle mixed.
Some body shops will make you a bottle for a fee.

I bought the touch up kit from bmw. Comes with the colour and clear coat.
Usually a the way to go, however, apparently the BMW mineral grey touch up kit doesnt match up very well. Some guys have reported the paint to be black on application.

I'd read up on the international forums...I believe this is a unique problem to Mineral Grey Metallic.

While touch ups are a good idea before ceramic coating, I would advise applying PPF to the front end (bonnet, bumper) after the touch ups and before the ceramic coating.

Ceramic coating alone will not protect against future stone chips.

While PPF is not cheap, it does protect your car from the small debris that we find on our roads. Especially with a special colour like yours, PPF will help maintain your paintwork.

Yeah definitely I'm also looking into that as an option as well if budget allows

Here is a link to the paint touch up kits.

Here is the part number for the Mineral Grey pen if you want to order from BMW.
